SVB Vs Alex Match Tonight?

I am not sure why RRPhantom got banned. I looked back through this thread and did not see anything he said or did to deserve banning unless he did it in private and it was passed along to the mods. To me he had an opinion which we all have but he did not say one thing derrogitary that I saw. If someone is banned for all he said that is quite sad and pathetic to say the least.

It's likely that he got outed as being SC5, coming back under yet another alias. That would be reason enough for his being banned. And may explain his sudden disappearance.

Don't worry, he'll be back. Probably already is, under yet another screenname.

Oh I missed that. He was SC5? That would explain it if he was,

Also, the Diamond table they played on had 4.25' pockets as to norm. 4.5 Pro cut and that maybe why you didn't see many packages put on.

When Alex broke he narrowly missed the second ball to side pocket every time. It would just hit the pic.

Sounds like those who were there enjoyed quite a show. Thanks to all who gave us updates & insight.

Except that if he was using his mom's credit card it would suggest he is actually paying off on his losses. :D

HaHa that is true, I didn't think of that.

IF that was SC5 I'm glad I didn't bet with him, he privated me wanting $200 on Alex. I don't keep money in my account I use for paypal unless I know I'm buying something just because of how paypal operates or I would have bet. I didn't really want to be on the SC5 list of not paying after the match incase I lost lol. Guess it wouldn't have mattered either way as I wouldn't have got paid anyway.

I don't know if it was the table, but I think it took until game 40 or so before someone ran two racks in a row, so neither player was dominating.

Welcome to 10-ball on a Diamond Pro Am w/ (std) pro cut pockets.

It's a helluva lot more difficult than running a couple of racks of 9-ball on a std Gold Crown, that is for sure.

man I so wanna watch this. I'm trying to decide if watching two of the best is worth the 40 min round trip drive and risking my life by walking in the Cue Club parking lot late at night...

I am still alive. My face doesn`t have scars from the knife cuts.I have been going to cue club on an average of 5 days a week for 3 1/2 years.None of the other pool players that come to cue club have any scar faces. NONE of the women players that go over to cue club got raped or mugged. No doubt Las Vegas has lots of crime but NOT in the parking lot of CUE Club.
I go to cue club because it is a very nice place to play and the area is protected by the police patrols.

Actually this particular Diamond had 4.25' pockets 1/4' tighter than pro cut Diamond. It made the game much harder for both players.

I watched the last 15 games and EVERY game the CB was kissed by another ball on the break, without exception. I asked Shane about he said the rails were too bouncy on that table and the balls would come back to the center of the table faster before the CB could get out of the way-he is right, thats how I saw it. I asked him why didnt he take some speed off the break and he said he did before I got to the pool room and then he couldnt make a ball in the sides on the break so that was no good. I said "No 8 Packs on that table" he replied "hell no!" its impossible. The bouncy rails made the table play harder, the pocket size wasnt as big of a issue as the bouncy cushions according to SVB, its hard to argue with that.

Someone said in the thread Alex must have been drinking, that want the case at all, Alex was sober and didnt say a word, he played very slow, infact too slow IMO, he was beat when I got there, but he didnt give up. He showed heart until the end. He just ran into a buzz saw-not the first time not the last. We all have, it was just Shanes night.

He bet his own and that says alot. Knowing that I had a decent side bet on it. I should have bet more I could have but I didnt go to the box so I bet what I had on me. Had I went to the box I'd have bet $10 on SVB. but I still got a strong bet down and made good $$ this week, After the longest losing streek of my life this past 18 months its nice to win a bet. I lost about 17 or 18 out of 20 bets in a row. Its hard to do that lose 18 of 20, same as winning 18 of 20 bets.

Good job Shane, of course I jelly rolled him.

But again Alex has monster heart and you cant ever count him out, he is capable of beating anyone in the world 40-20, he just had a bad night.

best

Since the day it was set up and made available I have been playing on that table ( #7 ).I loved that table and continue to love it.Pockets are NOT difficult at all but the RAILS are springy like untamed wild pony! On the Day before their match shane practiced on the table after I gave up the table to him.

This was exactly what I saw also. Shane would lay down a great break with the cue ball squating in the middle of the table, then a ball would come flying through and knock snowy into uncharted territory. The next thing you know, a push shot was played or a safety battle would come up. Running racks was going to be tough action.
