In a nut shell:
Too often, people cannot resist the urge to dogpile. They see the spectacle of an open flame and feel compelled to add fuel to the fire.
You have people starting threads about how they were ripped off etc..and find that they filed claims via ups etc.
Once a claim was filed, I don't see what the issue is or why is is being dragged out in public here.
People also have some misconceptions about how much time is comsumed by AZB for some of us. I do not intend to sift through hundreds of posts editing out stuff just so the curious can view the spectacle.
The thread in question had no value. There was no content worth sharing and was trash through and through.
Then there are the ones who would claim censorship.
Let's be very clear here...this is a private business. Everyone here is a guest.
If I think you are hurting AZB, I will act.
I don't think I should need to explain every detail of "why" because frankly, if the people asking why don't get it already, they still won't after wasting my time with an explaination.
As far as the other altruistic posters who feel they are protecting new posters from the evils of whomever...save it.
If you really want to help insure anyone is treated right, have them read the guidlines that are posted and direct them to a reputable escrow service.

Above, I highlighted three statements that I would like to comment on.
1. I respectfully disagree with Mr. Wilson where he said that he felt the previous removed thread, "had no value" and "was trash through and through."
While I certainly agree that it turned into a bit of a trainwreck, without question there were some valuable embers of information there, you just had to sift through a little ash to get to them.
2. Pointing out that azb is a business and that we are all just guests here, while probably technically correct, sure had a p-r-i-c-k-l-y feel (I had to use dashes because the auto remover didn't like that word, even with ly at the end - lol).
I consistently try to be a good contributor here and would like to think of myself as being more than just a guest. I think "member" has a much nicer ring to it. That makes me feel like I belong to the community. I suspect most others on here probably feel the same way. BTW, aren't the people who come here to read the boards without registering considered "guests"?
3. There really should be more of an emphasis on weeding out forum members who engage in bad business practices while, at the same time, encouraging altruistic behavior, which, IMO, we don't have enough of.
Escrow service, unfortunately, is not a universal fit for all transactions.
Mr. Wilson read the claims of Dave Sutton's last few customers who said they were wronged by him, and he has apparently come to the conclusion that those members claims were, basically, unsubstantiated.
I read things a little differently.
I wish I could go back and reread some of the key points in that thread.
Locking down, rather than removing such threads, should be seriously considered. I do agree, however, that being a mod here can be a thankless and time consuming endeavor and I suppose, due to this reality, the least complicated and most expedient option will sometimes prevail.
Best,
Brian kc
