I can't believe what I am reading. The buyer is due a full refund and the seller has to be the one at risk. It is as simple as that. My honest opinion is if the seller does not refund the money, they need to be banned from the forums. It doesn't matter what excuse is given..right is right and wrong is wrong...end of story. There have been a number of bad transactions here of late and I for one am sick of seeing them. If I had that much money on the line for a cue, it had better be as described down to the smallest inperfection.

I understand if I am open and honest about the cues I sell and trade, the seller and I can come to an adjusted price or the seller can simply move onto the next cue if a certain defect kills the deal. I have also returned money to a buyer because they did not care for the hit of a cue, no biggie, I just sold it to another member and they were thrilled. The money was returned BEFORE the cue was shipped back to me and I think it was the same day it was requested.

Bottom line...I work my tail off to make sure whomever buys a cue from me will be reasonably happy with what they get in return for their hard earned money with NO suprises. It just burns my a** to see other sellers not honor their word or stand behind what they sell...which is a bunch of BS. I sleep well at night knowing that EVERY transaction I have been involved with was handled with integrity and care. My word is worth more than a few lousy $$$$.

Maybe this thief will post a pic of his girl's butt too and cheer us all up.

Had the buyer paid via PayPal with a credit card all this back and forth could have been avoided.

that really sucks for you bro but at least you DID get a cue and not an empty shipping tube...

Joss West deal is remidied as i have paid for the repair of that cue, here is the link to the latest post.

As far as Embassy goes, i have offered 1.) to replace the shaft with a 12.75mm shaft, once the other one is returned 2.) give a refund if the cue is returned.

Not sure how much easier that is, i am just not giving him a FREE shaft for compensation, as thats crazy.

It only "Sounds" crazy when your're trying to yang someome. You are still responisble for the problem with your less than accurate description of the what you were selling. I just can't wrap my brain around your reluctance to use a third party as escrow.... you get the cue, he get's his money, done. instead you want to insist that he send the cue back to you (even though you've screwed him once) and expect him to trust that you'll return his money. hogwash!

SO, as unreasonable as "your terms" are, I expect that most buyers who have read the complications of "your terms", will not and should not buy from you.

And I'm sure that if any of the buyers knew of "your terms", in advance of "the screwing", that they would not have ever considered dealing with you in the first place.


I think you've proven your worth...which is equivalent to worthless.

I disagree with you sir. It is everyone's concern who buy, sell, and trade cues on this forum because honesty and integrity are vital to ensure an open market for all to participate in. An honest person would welcome others into the discussion instead of taking the position of "it doesn't concern you really".

You should actually be thanking everyone who have tried to assist in brokering a fair and equitable solution to this serious problem.

Just think if you were on the other side of this transaction and others were stepping in to try and broker a reasonable solution.

You've made your decision of how you want to conduct yourself, and, to some extent, it lessen this forum, but it's decision.

I will not tell people to not buy, sell, or trade with you, but anytime I see you potentially involved in a trade, I will recommend the other party use an escrow service and I will reference this thread.

I guess as a last resort, the buyer could file a small claims suit against the buyer. There is plenty of evidence presented and a judgement is binding. The only terms here to follow would be the court's. It might cost a little, but, what have you got now?
 
Solution

If the buyer simply wants his money back and the seller will refund with the cue returned, maybe rather than paying for an escrow service, someone neuteral to this situation that is a well known stand up member here could act as a third party to simply collect funds, collect cue and return original items to buyer/seller. That is pretty simple and I'm sure there are folks known to both parties that would be willing to do so at no charge

Personally (even though i was informed that it's none of my business) I think the seller Singernak had already made up his mind to make this as difficult as possible. Which actually speaks volumes about his character even excluding the details of this particular transaction. Anyone that would intentionally mislead a buyer, then go out of their way to make a resolution impossible by offering terms no one in their right mind would accept in order to "appear" reasonable, probably can't be reasoned with or trusted and should be avoided at any and all costs.

I have bought and sold many thousands of dollars worth of stuff here over the last few years without a SINGLE bad transaction. I guess I've been careful, dealt with reputable guys and a little lucky. But in the beginning it would have very easy for someone to pinch me. Sellers like Singernak are the worst kind too. Just enough "good" transactions to make the bad ones harder to find.

However, from now on, in ANY thread I see where he's selling something, I will make it a point to post a link to this thread. I think it's only fair that people know they're taking a big chance. It's one thing to put a $100 on some 9 ball, but wondering if you're going to actually get what your paying for is all together different

PS I know you don't care but I still think you're acting like a douche bag for using this forum to sell your wares, and then making it hard for the good guys because of BS like this... DO THE RIGHT THING!

Thats Hilarious, i have offered what i think is a reasonable compromise to this situation, i am not a bad guy, so whatever you think is your opinion, and you are entitled to it.

I have been on this forum for over 5 years and bought and sold thousands of dollars in cues, if you think i am not trying to do the right thing your mistaken.

look at the last transactions, i am still continuing to do business on AZ so if your plan is to sabotage future deals, that simply will not happen.

I will not however in any case sell cues for friends..

joyren, thanks for your input but the seller did not give a shXX for what I have received even the cue is very different from the description. Below is what he replied me in the very beginning.

"That's not going to happen, I am not prepared to give you a 100% refund as you knew what you were buying.

I said in the listing, the cue comes with 2 Shafts, and one has a roll!

You know if a shaft has a roll then it is "WARPED"!!

Quit acting stupid.

I will offer you $100 as a compromise.

its quite obvious the seller is out to scam.

There is absolutely no reason to avoid escrow. Especially, in this situation of both sides not feeling comfortable.

The fact that he just repeats the fact hes been here for 5 years and have been selling and trading is irrelevant.

Escrow is like $100 or something. shipping like $50 tops. split the costs 50/50 and both caulk up the loss as personal gain. end of story.

There is nothing else to add, or discuss. if the buyer will not agree to such things its obvious what he is and is trying to do. He should be IP Banned from the site. so as to not have this happen anymore.
