WTB: Meucci Originals

Your right in what you said Guy. I use any info I can find whether it's outdated or not, that way I know what to expect on the low end as well as what would be nice to get on the high end. I've sold older cues, Meucci as well as others, for less then I paid in this Obama induced economy and sold some for more then the highest value. It's dependent on finding the right hand for the cue, much as finding the right butt for a used car that someone has for sale. I realize that the market being bad I know that a cue in near perfect condition, can and in most times will be valued by buyers at the 70% price or lower so that's what they will offer.
Fleabay is a tough market to me as more rides on the description.
I love seeing a Vintage Meucci or Vintage BMC for sale on fleabay, when it should be obvious there is nothing vintage about it.
I see alot of people using the fact of problems with some of the dotted shafts to devalue a Meucci Original, that really bothers me as the older cues are an entirely different breed.
I respect your opinion very much Guy, as I do most if not all others on this forum, I try and keep the mind-set that there are always people that know more then I do and they always will be as there is no such thing as an expert, that applies to anything and everything for me.
My wife reminds me of this nearly every day .

Road Runner

I have a M. O. road runner. Very old. I sent it to Mike Erwin for a total refinish. Has the original shaft. Butt and shaft are straight together and apart. 19 oz. Give me your email and I will send pics. I have 500 in the cue with the refinish by Mike. Want to get that for it. THANKS, BILLY HO

Hi BILLY, I sent you a PM about your road runner

84-8

I will listen to offers for this one. Only imperfection is a ding in the clearcoat near the bumper. See last picture. It had the original tip on it when I purchased it, I replaced it with an everest. This cue has hardly been out of it's case, straight together and apart.

Still looking for mint condition Meucci Originals

Ladies and gentlemen of the AZB jury I ask you is this member
perpetrating the desire to purchase a Meucci Original a nit or not ?

I maintain by the preponderence of the above evidence that we
here at AZB have an infected NIT biting on our balls, and the only
way to get rid of it is to utilize your ignore option.

How about this? The original poster should upload a photo of a meucci original that he would buy if it met his condition requirements. Also, he should state a price he is willing to pay for that particular cue. Based on this price the az community should be able to make a fairly quick decision whether the OP is a nit or not. My guess is he is trying to "steal" a higher end old original. He might find what he is looking for but with the amount of knowledge, collectors, and old meucci fans on this site, he's not going to steal one here.
I would say if he keeps bumping this thread without giving an example of cue and price he's willing to spend after reading this........then yes, I will assume nit for sure!

I tried to tell him , in a polite manner, in a PM, he informed me he was not doing anything wrong , and he was just waiting for the right cue , which he said he would purchase, THE RIGHT CUE> Righttt . ahhuh :bash:

Why is it bother you so much what I do? It is my money and I can spend it as I see fit. I think you should probably worry more about yourself and not so much about what others do. I am not just going to buy a cue to make your or anyone else happy. I will buy a cue to make myself happy and so far there have been alot of nice cues in mint condition, but the seller either was asking too much or it was not the model I was looking for. When the right cue comes along at the right price I will buy it. I am not going to pay the same price for a Meucci Original that I can buy a custom cue for. As you know this a tough market for cues these days and cue is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it.
