People running raffles know they don't fill quite as quick now, using two sites makes it worse.
Were back where we started three days ago.
I guess this poll was a waste of everybodys time.
Again Sir you and I disagree, because 3 days ago we didn't have anywhere to have raffles.
Now we have 2 locations to have our raffles.
I have said since the beginning we should keep both sites up and try them both out.
I like bklynjava's site much better personally, but with give both a try and see what works better.
I feel if people voted just on ease of use and options it would have not been so close.
I voted for bklynjava, but I am with Lee on this one... If both sites were going to do raffles, then why did we have this poll? Where is the respect for democracy lol?
I think we (=those who participated in this poll) should all agree (as we did initially) that the raffles will be on the poll winners side, at least for the time being. However, if things don't go well, say in a couple of months, and his site proves to be short of what the job requires, then bklynjava or another board member can have a motion to reconsider another site.
United we stand, divided we fall...
I was refering to AFTER he and I offered our website services.
I feel people voted on a number of things, trust being one of them.
I also beleive that if it was a popularity contest, as stated before, it wouldnt have been as close either.
Regardless, I was under the impression, as was most, that the majority vote ruled in this case.
Just because another website is easier to use doesnt mean its better.
Comparred to how many have been involved with raffles on AZ over the years, there was only a very few people that were involved in the conversation before the poll, during, and after the poll. Even if we all agreed does that mean we have the right to tell everyone else they have to use one of these websites. Someone else could decide today they want to have this option on their site and offer raffles.
Up until the point I saw both of your offers I was talking with a few people about starting our own site where we could host the raffles. Once we saw the offers we deicded not to go forward.
When I was originally talking about these 2 sites I was thinking they would both the same as what we have on AZ.
If you could add a Vbulletin option in your website I think we would have the best of both worlds and make everyone happy.
I understand your point. It really makes no difference to me where the raffles are. In my opinion both sites will get the job done.
I know I will be holding mine on my site.
Until a few people contact me to say that its just too much of a pain in the ass to post them on my site, I cant justify opening a whole new site just because one person says to.
The cost of the forum site isnt much so its absolutely an option.
I have looked into it over the last few days.
There are about a dozen or so members who set up raffles all the time. I would like to get a PM from those guys to hear there opinions. These people know who they are. I would say if you've done more than 10 to 15 raffles you are on that list.
Since I have only done 8 raffles on AZ I will respect your guidelines and not send you a PM.
I hope everyone that starts raffle threads where ever you start them does well with them.
Please vote n which site we will be using, as AZ will no longer allow raffles.
Thanks for your input.
Jon

Its not vbulletin, but it wont cost you anything to post your raffles there.
Let me know if this will be acceptable.
It looks like it will do everything everybody wanted, especially editing posts.
There are three raffles running on my old raffle forum. If you want to move them to the new site, please do so.
All persons wanting to run a raffle and/or choose spots will have to register on the new site.
Sorry about that. It wont move again unless there is a problem. You dont have to register on my site anylonger.
Also... please sign into the new forum with the same user name as you use here on AZ.
Thanks Lee, I registered for your new site and it states "you cannot reply to topics in this forum". Did I do something wrong when I signed up? Is there a grace periond before a new person can post? Or maybe the username boradriver was black flagged? LOL
Your definitely not black flagged.
I just looked at your profile and I dont see anything wrong.
Please try again.
I like both sites being up and running, competition is a good thing. It will be interesting to see how this all plays out.
