Forgot to add we will have a daily pool special. $6 per person and play from 2pm to 7pm for free. Awesome deal for affordable practice sessions!

Just re-read it, what I meant by this weekend was the weekend of the 26th hehe. Tourneys are Sept 30th and Oct 1st. I'll fix the post sorry for the confusion :)

Thanks for the support though!

Right now I just want to focus and provide the best pool room I can muster up. I love the game and I think this venue will show it. If your ever in TX look us up. I'll be Doing my best to foster the growth of the sport with quality equipment and modern technology.

Had a couple questions so I wanted to post the answers here.

Yes we are setup to host league matches. We would love to see you playing at future cues.

No we don't currently have plans for a snooker table.

No we have not taken tables from the green room, these are new tables direct from Diamond. Diamond is also the ones installing and leveling them so rest assured they will play great

Cool. Its great to see a great hall coming to temple, and I love the monthly tourney. But the only thing I think you should change is the 7fts to all nine footers;)

I grew up around all 9 footers too, but you have to cater to your market :)

Most people here in Temple are used to the 7 footers, especially the league players. You gotta give your customers what they want if you expect to keep them happy.

No worries though, the building in we are in is 15,000 SQFT. I have the front 8500 SQFT of it finished out. If business really takes off and we are keeping the tables packed I can always open up the back half of the building and put in more tables.

Thumbs Up

This is really good news. Congrats & the Best Always.
It's a small trip from the DFW area (2 hrs or so) but it will be worth it for many fine players that they have up in this area for tournaments.
Maybe, you can arrange some 14.1 tournaments over time on those 9' tables for us 14.1 players.
Good Luck.

Good luck to you in your new endeavor. Always nice to see a room OPENING instead of closing. Take care of your customers and they will take care of you!

Must haves - ATM machine; nachos and cheese, pizza, chicken wings, burgers and fries are good also, some people like a good hot dog as well. Make something your signature food, the best burger or ?. Forget full meals, that's a losing proposition. Nice cold beer, on tap and in the bottle. Cool video games - shooting games, racing games. Heck, even Pacman and old style pinball machines still get good play. Billiard supplies, good cues at low prices, books, DVD's, the works. Cue repair service (even if you send it out). Cue lockers (a plus!). You got the room, use it. A smoking lounge is nice too, preferably a patio.

If we can get.enough interest in a 14.1 tourney I'd be happy to host it. Not sure how many players in my area actually know how to play straight pool though :p

Thanks for the support and advice Jay, much appreciated.

Thx for the support Joey :)

It's been a long day just finished the final coat of polyurethane on the bar. It's absolutely beautiful though! I've spent the last 3 weeks building this sucker. Dark mahogany wood with raised panels and a black granite tile top. Really hope the customers appreciate a nice custom bar. I'll get some pics up next week.

Hoew far from FT Hood? Close enought to draw U.S. Army Personal? Your web-site is very well done! Now I think you need a Pro Shop, and you are good to go.

We aren't too far from Ft Hood. 45 mins to an hour drive. You should really consider coming up for the grand opening tourneys!

Pro shop will be coming in the very near future. I've already got accounts setup with the manufacturers but It won't be ready by opening. Maybe a month or two after opening and we will have a full pro shop.

Speaking of pro shop I'm looking for someone I can send work out to. Tip repair and such. Know anyone that might be interested?
