Line up 3 on the spot. Least shots to pot all three wins. Scratch is a one shot penalty. Not a call shot game, hit hard and get lucky. All three on the break is a one. Four or better to win. Five shots is not a winner. One tie all tie. Every one antes again ($1?). Winner of last game breaks first. Some people rack in a triangle, whatever!?!? That's just regular 3 ball. Sometimes for a tourney you just average your score out of a predetermined trips to the table. Best game is about five people. Eight or nine players could take forever unless someone shoots a one or two.

thank you , but

i believe he wants to play like a regular tournament, draw pills for spots, and match up 2 players at a time, they play a race to 5 or maybe just 10 games with the winner advancing and the loser going the losers bracket. he is thinking total score for the 10 games, i'm thinking the first to win 5 games and not trying to keep a total points, just win's or losses.

I never heard of a three-ball tournament, but bangers are people too:D. Johnnyt

Many years ago, a bar I played at in Mississippi had a 3-ball tournament. We would play 10 rounds and the lowest total score won.
