I am just recently looking at having one built.

I was thinking of a dark wood/stain, maybe cherry or mahohany, but that is a nice cabinet.

Dues it have UV glass in it?

What kind of shipping charges are we looking at? Does in break down for shipping?

I would like to consider it, but I am not jumping at it, so anybody else....feel free....

Nice work.

questions

This case doesn't have uv glass but I could put it in a cabinet
The shipping on these large cases is usually any where from 85 to 120 dollars
I also do have some really nice mahogany waiting fo a project

I have one built by Andy in cherry and it is great.

But will you ever actually ship the cases, or will you just accept payment in full and then never respond to any PM's or emails?

I paid in full for one of your cases on 10/15/09 and you never shipped it and you did not respond to any of my attempts to contact you.

Guys, be careful when dealing with this man.
I realize that there have been some successful transactions with him and these cases appear to be very nice, but I suggest you arrange to use escrow, COD, or some other means of ensuring that he won't do to you what he did to me.

Did you say you ordered and paid in full for a case in Oct 2009 and have not received it still today?

lets slow here

As I have already said there has in the past been problems in shipping if I recall correctlly your case was damaged in shipping admitably I used poor customer service in my dealings with you. At the end of things you received a full refund if you would like I still have the case you ordered (REPAIRED) Ill send it to you and ill cover shipping and we can complete the transaction.

That is correct.

I received prompt replies from Andy until I sent payment via PayPal, then never heard from him again.

I sent PM's and emails, and checked to see that he had been on the forum fairly regularly during the time when he was not responding (via Last Activity in Profile).

I even sent him a PM while his status showed that he was online asking him to please respond. He did not.

Eventually, after being contacted by someone who claimed to have possession of his cases who wanted me to pay additional shipping for the case, I filed a claim with PayPal and got my money back.

That's ridiculous.

YOU never shipped it.

Someone else who claimed to have the case asked me to pay him more cash to ship it to me, despite the fact that I had already paid you $50 for shipping. After I paid him, he claimed he shipped it and that he got it back because it was damaged.

Your actions were beyond "poor customer service".

You did not respond AT ALL, you DID NOT ship the case.

I still have all of the emails from my dealings with the other individual as well as the PM's to/from you, so don't play innocent here.

No. He recieved a refund two years ago
Not from you. I got the refund after filing a claim with Paypal, from which I only received $24.91, and then with VISA, from which I got the balance.

EDIT: BTW, when the other party (Nate F.) shipped the case, based on the pics he sent, it was missing the back and the lock because you never finished it.
UPS returned it to him with broken glass on 12/06/09. And I never did recover the $25 I sent to Nate.

Customer service is crucial in any business, poor service is just bad form.
I really appreciate any unsatisfied customer to voice the true experience, so we the buyers could all be warned to avoid unnecessary troubles.

Highlanduh, even thou I don't know you but thanks for stepping up and letting us know what kind of seller we are dealing with.

There's nothing to clear up.
I got my cash back (thanks to Visa) so I'm all set.

How would you make things right, by offering me the case I paid for 2 years ago at a discount?

I just wanted to put the warning out there to the guys on this forum to be careful in dealing with you based on my experience.

I would have just let it go and not responded any further, but then you posted lies of omission because you implied that you shipped the case when it got damaged and that you refunded my money.

I have zero interest in sending you even one cent of my hard-earned money.

1.) Coming from a novice wood worker...(somehow I still have all my fingers)....I've got to be honest, your cabinet work is nice.

2.) Some would say everyone deserves a second chance.

3.) Others would say (if you lied about shipping it) that once a crook always a crook.

4.) I am on the fence regarding my gut feel.

5.) If you can prove that you did ship it to the correct address, well then I pick number 2 above and offer $400 for your cabinet.

6.) If I see proof that you lied and did not ship it, then I pick number 3 above.

7.) Does my opinion really matter?

.... you didn't do those in this community any favors by not using I-trader in the first place. :frown:
You are correct.
The reason I responded with my 1st post was because when I noticed that he was listing cases again, I looked and discovered that I had never left iTrader feedback.

2.) Some would say everyone deserves a second chance.
This is why I only wanted to point out to be careful, rather than say "This guy's a crook, don't deal with him."
His work looks beautiful, and others have had good transactions with him.

He never claimed that it was shipped by him, only implied it in a previous post.
The case was shipped to me by someone named Nate, but it was damaged and returned to him by UPS.

There's a story behind why Nate had possession of the cases and why I agreed to send him another $25, but I'd rather not get into another man's personal life on a public forum.

It is quite possible that Andy was going through some issues at the time of our deal and that any future dealings with him will be successful.

I had shady dealings with seller as well. In September 2009 I bought a Gilbert cue and he claimed a friend shipped it because he was out of town. Then he stopped responding to my emails. It wasn't until I filed a dispute with PayPal weeks later, that I mysteriously received the cue. And it was in bad shape. I never left I-trader but I still have the emails for proof.
