Alison Out Of China Open

Acording to the AZ front page Allison went two and out at the Women's China Open. I can't see how any of the pro women that live in the states could be in any kind of stroke with no women's pro tournaments to play in. I do believe if the women pros that live in the states need to play in open events here or think about getting a job. You have to be on top of your game to travel to their country (China, Japan, PI, Korea, Taiwan) and expect to do well when your not playing competitive. Johnnyt

You can compete/play competitive pool without playing in tournaments. I doubt Allison lost because she wasn't in stroke. I imagine the very strong Asian field was more than likely her downfall. Not to mention the hassles of travelling abroad and the "home field" advantage the Asian women have. Just my opinion.

IMO you can't be at the top of your game w/o playing in pro tournaments or gambling, and Allison don't gamble. Practicing only won't get you there. Johnnyt

Good point. And i don't care who you are if your not playing in tournaments you just aren't tournament focused and tough.

Gambling will get you there , I can vouch for that.

You can practice until your fingers fall off but you have to be under the fire or your going to get burnt when you get there.
