Just a heads up, i was just in my local staples and they had on weekly special the Loctite Ultra Control Gel glue for just $2 per bottle. They normally have it for 4.79.

This is the cheapest i have seen it and stocked up on some. So check your local Staples store and see if they do it too.

Thanks for the heads up, just sent the old Lady out with some cash to see if they have It on sale here. I'm down to one 20gram tube of 454 in the fridge and have been trying to save It for other things, so I have been using the precision gel to install tips lately. I hope That it's on sale here and that they have some left in stock. I use to use It in the past before almost exclusively going to 454. I use the precision thin a lot too, I did not think to ask her to see If they had It there as well. It's been getting harder to find It in the clear bottles. They are starting to put It in the same bottles as the gel, but I like to see how much is in the bottles when using that.

Update: Our local Staples had them on sale too. I may go get some more tomorrow. Thanks Again.

You can also go to Home depot, let them know the Staples price and they will match and give an extra 10% ( based on the difference of $2.27, that's an additional 23 cents off) for a net cost of $1.77.

I wasn't greedy, just bought 3 today while visiting Saginaw, Michigan today
 
Might be on sale because its old stock. I bought some SG at our local Dollar Store once. What a mistake that was.

This looks like a good deal since it's a nation wide sale though. Dang I was just @ Staples yesterday and didn't even think to look.

Dano,

They have the new style top and it is the Ultra. I think is is a good buy and good stock.

Staples is just using this as a come on sale ( loss leader ) to get you into the store.

I love that new top with the side pinchers. Good move on their part on the sale. Seems like I can't walk into anywhere without spending 100 bucks.

I had glue in my head when I asked if it was on sale for $2. You got
a great deal. Iam in nc I guess they feel maybe we're not in need of

It was displayed as $ 2.00 and rang up as such in Palatine, Ill store.

it was in a bin with it posted as $2, i went in to the copy center to pick something up for work and saw it and couldnt resist buying some
 
Super glue

sale ended on Saturday. Part of a storewide weekly special that runs from Sunday through Saturday. New specials for this week.
 
For those of you that might not know, super glue has a shelf life that is relatively short if not kept refrigerated and these places obviously don't do that, so beware of buying a lot of stock of "old" super glue.
 
Shelf life is really bad on thse squeeze bottles for cue work, You can not see how much is left in the container so you make a really big squeeze to be sure to get enough for the job rhen release the squeeze and you suck air back into the bottle...instant oxidiation in the bottle...shorter shelf life. I stay with the big tube of 454, keep the tube rolled up from the bottom and stored in the frig under my Cue Companion. Works great when you do 10/20 retips at a time in the pool room or at a big tourny. If you have not used all of the tube in 2/3 weeks throw it out...do not...do not try to save $ on tip glue... use plenty to see it beaded up all around the tip joint let it set 30 seconds and wipe the surplus off. You know the rest just be sure to use a new blade every tip. Been there, done that, do not intend to do it again.(LOL) but I probably will. Have a wonderfull day Ken Ken.
 
I keep 454 in the fridge sealed in a heavy duty Ziploc freezer bag, and It keeps well that way. These bottles here I only bought 5 of, and I can go through 1 or 2 of them a week, maybe three on a really super busy week, so I'm fairly sure that I will use them up before they go bad. I thought about sticking a few in the fridge just in case, but don't think that I will need to. If I had bought 10 or more then I may be thinking a little harder about it, and may would reconsider.
