What kind of prices have you guys been able to buy a 9' Pro-Am direct from Diamond? Did it include shipping and installation? Did it have a light and other accessories? Did you pick it up and carry it home from a tournament?

I really appreciate any help you can give. I've already searched the forums.

Any details would be extremely helpful.

best suggestion would be to contact diamond billiards products directly..

or wait until the us. open 9 ball championships in a month and then you can purchase a tournament used table at a discount. the prices depend on diamond billiard products.

Lights are additional costs...so are chairs, covers, and balls.
 
Great question. I'd be very interested as well.

I'm moving to Chicago in the next couple of weeks, and as soon as I buy a house my intention is to buy a Diamond.

Pro-Am if I have space on the ground floor, Professional if it's in the basement.

The Pro-Am is shipped in one piece (legs inside a table compartment) and they can't and won't take it up or down stairs as you all probably know.
 
Wise to know what the numbers are before you call Diamond or otherwise your just left up to whatever they say you have to pay. Knowledge is power.

I disagree...Diamond is not some rinky-dink company that bases its prices on what it plans to have for lunch next week.

If you call and get a quote today, then have your sister call them tmrw, you are gonna see the same pricing.
 
So you think everyone pays the same price otd and there's no need to negotiate. This is a tough market on my sales and I don't refuse ANY reasonable offer. Maybe Diamond is selling tables like gangbusters and defying the recession and overall drop in billiards/pool sales. But, that would b a little surprising in this economic crud.
 
you don't have to wait until after a major tourney to get pricing/ordering a tournament-used table from Diamond. however, Diamond will be busy as hell with the US Open

I know lots of people who have bought Diamond Tables from the factory. The one thing they all had in common was they called the factory and talked to people who actually know what is happening at that particular moment.

I know and work with most everyone at Diamond a couple times a year. There is no magic code word for a discount. Believe me. My friends ask me all the time and they are always so sad when I tell them the same thing I tell everyone else: Call the factory.

If thats not the answer you want I'm sorry but it is the right answer. Nothing anyone here tells you is going to affect the price you are quoted.

I bought my table direct from diamond and after several phone conversations about options and pricing there was nothing to make me think I could lowball it. The only break available was t the used tables and they seemed to be available all the time. They sell the table everyone wants and they know it! Lol ps I couldn't be happier with my table
 
There is wiggle room in the pricing depending on who you are and are you a repeat customer. Also depends on whether you want a stock normal table or have some modifications done to it. Also depends on how long you are okay with waiting for delivery.

Depending on those factors and where you live, your table and light for a 9 footer could cost anywhere from $6k-$7k. General rule is closer to Indiana you live the better price you can get. Also look at the gas prices as those trucks the guys use get really bad mileage cause theyre so big. Best to try to tag along with a big order from a local pool room or something.

You are talking about delivery which is naturally dependent on location. The tables cost what they cost. The actual price you pay for the table is the same whether you pick it up from the factory or have it delivered. If you want to make a deal with a mechanic to go pick up and deliver the table then maybe you save some money. But the actual price of the table is the same.

If you are buying fifteen tables for a pool room its a different story and there are lots of things you can work out. Although I know people who have bought a lot of Diamond tables who got pretty cranky when they found out the price for a buddy or personal table was basically retail. There just isn't much fat in their pricing.

This is what I was told earlier this year:

Hello Nate,

I will have some tour used 9’ Pro-Ams available after the Ultimate 10 ball event in April. After the tournament is over expect 6-8 weeks lead time to get a table to your area. As long as the table is going on the ground level of the home total cost for the equipment, delivery, and installation will be $5,300.00 and will include the table,

Simonis 860 cloth, and matching oak ball rack.

You can pre order the table and reserve it with a deposit any time before the event. Call or write me with any questions.

As you can see from the link below, the U.S. Open is offering $400 discounts on their used equipment, however, you could try calling them to see if you can get a better price.
