Segmented Handle Cues - Post Your Pics!

I'm looking for any pictures of cues with a segmented handle that is not completely wrapless! I've seen cues before that have the 3-sectional handle with the two outside sections having a leather wrap and the middle section of the segmented handle being "wrapless".

Any comments with regards to the "functionality" of the cue are welcome as well...meaning - does it get in your head feeling the different surfaces if you have to grip the cue on the leather/wrapless section to make a shot? Did the cuemaker give you grief over having to make it? (Etc.)

I know these cues exist...please, please, please show them off!

Jason

There was a Mottey several years back with a three-sectioned handle, all in burgundy lizard. Hopefully Joe Van Buren still has the pics he can post.

I friggin' LOVED that cue!!!

Holy smoley! Someone has to have some pictures hidden away somewhere. I've searched the threads and can't find anything...I know I've seen 3 or 4 of them (from big name cuemakers too)...

I saw this one when you first posted it...couldn't stand "upright" for about an hour after seeing this one! ;)

there is a schick on cueaddicts that is leather with seg handle http://www.cueaddicts.com/cuepics/DSC00779.jpg

Great looking cue. That's closer to what I was thinking. I'm positive I've seen cues that had the 3-segments in the handle with the middle segment being the wrapless with the outer two having the leather...maybe I'm mistaken, but I could have sworn I've seen a couple cues like that...

Jason

No. He's looking for segmented handles cues WITH wraps. Sorta like the one I posted. I know you have one.

(Hint: It was made by the same cuemaker as the cue I posted AND you got it from Si )
sorry, I read only the Title:frown:
No, Si had it back;)

Mia:

YEP! Like this one! I kept searching for "segment" or "segmented" but it was only bringing up wrapless cues. This is the kind I'm looking for! Thank you!!!

RALF:

You just wanted to show off pictures of those beauties again!!! ;) I almost sent you an email the other day about a Gilbert...

Always love to see your cues Ralf...and the Thai girls aren't bad either! :p

I know someone's got to have more pictures somewhere...If anyone can think of any pictures, please post the links or the pics...I'm positive I've seen about 3 or 4 of them (from the some top cuemakers if I'm remembering right) because I can't seem to find the posts again!

Thanks to everyone for their help!

Jason

p.s. I just took these pics from the James White Thread. I can't tell if the middle section is wrapless on it or not...

Not exactly the same style, but two more by Mottey.

What's annoying me the most is that I can't find the one cue that I think is his best example of a segmented handle. If I remember correctly, it was a 4 point snakewood cue (maybe 8 points?), with a three segment lizard wrap. Awesome cue!

I know Joe Van Buren had it for a while so hopefully he'll see it and post some pics.

Those two Motteys are gorgeous!!! But they only have the two sections...

I've spent a good portion of the afternoon looking through the gallery section and I can't find 'em!!!

I want to say I saw it in a picture from Worminator...I'm going to send him a PM to see if it was him...and if so, if he remembers...

I just got a PM back from Si...he clarified that it was lizard wrap on all three sections! However, this is the right "size" of the sections/segments that I remember...

ARGGHHHHHH!!!! This is killing me...I can see the cues in my head, but I'll be darned if I can find them...(my seven-year-old is looking over my shoulder as I type this and is laughing at me because I said ARGGHHHHHHH)!

Jason <----- Likes to make his 7-year old laugh with ARGGHHHHHHHHH!!!

These pictures were sent to me from bob b. who asked me to post them for him. Awesome looking Carmeli Bob!

While this has Irish Linen wrap, it doesn't have the leather wrap and the "wrapless" center section/segment that I'm searching for, this looks spectacular!!!

Thanks for sending these!!!

I've held this cue in my hands, and believe me, these pictures don't do it justice. It is a real beauty. I have a wrapless segmented handle Carmeli that looks like an ugly stepchild next to this.

Here's a set that I made for a guy last year. Curly Red Nara and Spalted maple. Came out beautiful

That's what Bob said about the pics! :p He said he'd try and email me better pictures...

Love the look of that cue! Thanks for posting the pictures!

The cue mia is referring to is in the first blue book of cues. I don't have many segmented handle cue pics.

Here is a Skip Weston... the middle cue.
