I got a friend lookingto sell me a cue. He was told it was a Richard Black. But its not signed. The points are not razor sharp. Looks to m like a Schon. But I could be wrong.

Anyway, id love to verify if its a Black or not. Plays well. Also an approximate value would be great.

R Black??

Most likely not a Black cue with CNC points..Maybe a Schon but I've never seen a propeller Schon before..Maybe someone else has..good luck..

OL-6 Falcon

Approximate value? If I remember correctly, these cues sold for around $300 new. Depending on condition, and the fact that they are discontinued, $175-$250.

Today's market, You would be lucky to get $125.00 - $150.00 for it. It is a used production cue.

That's what I was thinking. Man is he gonna be pissed. 1 finding out it's not a Black and then finding out he got severely ripped off. Tried to sell it to me for $900. I know he paid more.

Not for nothing though it plays well. Nice and Solid.

It pays to do what you have just done, "your home work!". You were very smart to look to more experienced people before you got caught in this deal thinking the cue was a Richard Black because that's what someone said. You just saved yourself some money if you'd bought this cue unknowing the true value. $150 to $175 is tops for this cue since it's used.

Thank you.

FWIW, I've seen unsigned Richard Blacks that were made by Mike Wheeler when he worked with Black. You'd need an expert to tell, though.

from what I recall, this thread was initially in the Wanted/For Sale section, then somehow moved to review section...

...I think we all agree with my initial response, that the cue is made by Falcon.
