They are in the building process right now, when they're done I'll post some pictures. The first 4 are Diamond's I believe, after that I'll let you know.

There will be 4, 5 x 10 foot Diamond Tables for the the pros to play on at the Big Summer Event in Tunica Mississippi. I believe the dates are around the middle of July. YOu might be able to buy one of them after the pro event.

The first 4 tables all have a one piece 30mm (1 3/16th) thick slates in them, so I don't think they'll be the ones for sale, I've told Greg I would rather not see any of these first 4 sold. They're also getting an additional 18 leveling points down the middle of the slates as well as side to side. I personally don't want to have to deal with moving these tables with one piece slates in them, but am willing to support Diamond with the first 4 built, as they've already got the slates on hand. I would prefer any 5'x10's sold to have a 3 piece 1" thick slate fitted in them, as I have a way of turning a 3 piece slate back into a one piece slate that would be used on these tables.

Is this tourny a defo Joey?

How many players, torny fee etc?

I will defo be playing in this, 10 foot table boys from men :)

Oh no,dont tell me that was a gaffed up 5x10 table?

The next time that table is used, you'll see a world of difference in how it plays as opposed to when Shane & Earl played on it. My buddy Mark Gregory already rebuilt the rails and pocket openings to play right for the next match being played on the table. Mark told me he'd never seen such a screwed up table before, and couldn't see how ANYONE would have enjoyed playing on it, let alone competing in a match race to 100;) So, when Shane beats Earl on the TAR table next month, that'll be 2 out of 3 loses for Earl against Shane, then what will you have to say...the table played GREAT and that's why Earl DIDN'T win?

you mean doweling them? I recently put together a gabriels billards table and it was engineered with brass dowels between the slates...pretty slick.

No, I have a much better system than anything that has ever been used by any table manufacture. It's so good, the slates don't even have to be mounted to the Diamond frame with slate screws, it's just free floating until the rails are bolted down;)

How many pieces of slate?
How thick?

Dale

After the first 4 are built, then I think Diamond will switch to a 3 piece slate, 30mm (1 3/16"s" thick. I have a plate joint system that plate joints the slates together from the bottom side of the slates with a 1/4" x 2" thick steel flat bar that the slates machine to holding the slates flat at the seams and together from one side to the other, no chance for the slates to shift or move. Then the rails are bolted down through the slate and frame of the table locking the slate in place with 30ea 3/8"ths rail bolts. The Diamond leveling system is used to level the outside edges of the slate all the way around the table, then my leveling system which is designed to raise or lower the slates control the center of the slates in 18 more locations, giving 100% total control of the level of the slates. The body of the table is leveled with the levelers located in the 6 legs. That's a total of 54 leveling points;)

I don't mean to hijack this thread and, no, I'm not trolling. But didn't they both play on the same table during that match? Isn't a race to 100 a long enough race for a professional to learn to adjust to the conditions, whatever they may be?
