If I was Charlie Williams I would have seen all the negative posts, threads, comments, etc. The popular opinion is that he does not deserve the job, had snaked his way in, Represented other nations, has a questionable past with women and that all in all he isn't the person that the FANS want doing the job. He knows in his own heart that all this is correct and if I were him I would RESIGN my position and let someone else take the job. I would not want to take a job that 95% of people don't think I should have. I have a feeling that he is probably going to swagger around without a care in the world and feel like the popular star he wishes he was. I know there are a small % of people that post that think CW is great and that he should be given a chance but the majority do not feel that way and if I were him I would know that and save myself the shame and remove myself. Am I on my own here???

I agree ,what he did in that hotel room was wrong,he should of be punish for it,and 1 way or another,but how would people think of him if he leads USA to victory,maybe this is his calling card,we will have to wait and see.

On a side note. I think it is crazy to think Charlie would ever resign his position because A) I would highly doubt you will even hear any boo's when he is introduced in Vegas. and B) The crowd that Matchroom is appealing for broadcasting purposes is based in Europe and Asia.... where believe it or not Charlie is looked on very highly.

I do not think he should resign. Maybe if there was a player backlash, but I have not heard them say a negative word.

If he is guilty the Koreans most likely would prefer he give up being Korean. Nick Varner was a much better choice for captain.

Not only is the pool world larger than our little community online but you are going to have a hard time finding a majority agreeing on anything however morally obvious you think it should be.
