I agree with Darren

I find that hard to believe Sharkey. Can you explain how business experience
trumps the wisdom of the table that comes from age and experience.
I think Nick and a few others also are pretty good businessmen to have lasted this long.

this is a very good point

No, I'm saying that real adults take responsibility for what they do, and don't blame others for the choices they've made. Real adults look at the facts and both sides of the story, not just what others who have no idea what they're talking about...rant about, then take sides. Real adults take the blame for what they've done and punishment if included, then change what they've done for the better, and go on to try and improve their life for the better. Real adults keep their noses out of OTHER people pasts and businesses if it don't pertain to them.

Did you take it up the a$$ from any business dealings with Eric?...I think NOT, yet you speak as though you have! Judging others is a tricky thing to do, least YOU be judged yourself one day for YOUR actions, who knows...you might just be a child molester...just not caught as of yet, but if you are........?????...because no one really knows that much about anyone here on AZ...do they?

Glen

You're a joke. I didn't say I had any dealings with Eric and I don't think I was judging him. You made a blanket statement that people get what they deserve. You have this idea that all is fair. If I can do it to you before you do it to me then all is right with the world. I will agree with you that there are ignorant (not stupid) people in this world and they sincerely do not have the knowledge to see beyond trying to get ahead in life. I am not talking about people becoming wealthy just being able to make payments with a little left over to do just a little more. No Lambos in their future but they may be able to stay out of nursing homes or send their kids to school.

You are right that most people on AZB only know what they've read about Eric and I am certainly one of them but what we've read isn't good.

Then...IF Eric had something to do with your life and you didn't care for his actions...you take it up with the American Justice System and file a complaint about your grievances and ask for legal action. You DON'T how ever treat AZBilliards like it's a public forum which gives you the RIGHT to DEMAND an explanation into someone else's life or business conduct, merely for your entertainment, and the entertainment of others like you....just because you WANT to talk shit about someone...whom you know nothing about when it comes to the person himself!

You really wanna play this game ? Lemme tell ya somethin...

Hard working people, many under financial duress, gave their $150 with the understanding that they would be able to gain access to up to $2500, cash advance or credit. The company made a material representation and/or implication that the $150 would pay for access to the above $2500.
Some may have intended to use that for a new roof. Or a costly repair on their car. Or to pay medical expenses not covered by their healthcare provider. Or a variety or other incurred expenses to 'try and dig themselves out of the hole'.
What they received was significantly different from what they were promised. The $2,500 line of credit and the “credit card,” are limited to purchases of goods from the company's catalogues. The $2,500 cash advance is limited to an initial cash advance of $10. And they don't really receive a card, they only get a form to use to send for an application for a credit card.

It's deceit, no matter how you slice it.

And you are trying to defend and condone that type of deceit.

That tells me a lot about not only him, but you as well.

I didn't realize you were a moderator, telling me what I can and cannot post here.

And I've based my opinion about 'the person himself' after reading and hearing a great deal of things about him, here and other places.

Actions speak louder than words, no matter how much money you have...

Eric comes on the board slams AZ'ers than gets what he ask for - the truth. No need for mods.

Well with all the mudslinging, non pool related comments, I don't know why you would ask for them. :D

Did I miss something?

I have continued the Mosconi Cup discussions in a new thread leaving the Fatboy debate on here.

Dennis Hatch was up for running as being the captain of Team USA. With all of his spirit and ethusiasm that he displayed in the previous Mosconi Cups, it sure is a shame he was not selected as the captain. :sorry:

I guess Johnny, et al., chose Charlie because they wanted him to be a part of their Mosconi Cup experience. :grin-devilish:

As far as excitement goes, Dennis would have complemented the entire event. Everybody loves Dennis.

I think Johnny, et al., made the wrong selection. That's my opinion, and I'm sticking with it. :p
Dennis would have been a much better choice, for sure.

I actually see a lot of merit to your post.

Let's not forget how many people despise and hate Kevin Trudeau, a man who poured literally MILLIONS and MILLIONS of dollars into pool. The common reason stated for this disdain and hatred of Kevin Trudeau was the way he made his money.

Today, 5 years after the IPT folds, there are still many who continue to think Kevin's contribution to pool was nothing worthy. I have trouble comprehending this, considering here is a man who did literally donate millions of dollars to try to effect a change for the better, to including gifting every single BCA's Hall of Famer that attended the first IPT event in December 2005 a gift of $30,000 and a head start (a bye) in the million-dollar tournament, so they could win more money.

Some of those BCA Hall of Famers hadn't hit a ball for 20-plus years, and they came to Orlando to get Kevin Trudeau's free gift of $30,000 just for showing up.

Bustamante told me personally that his third-place payout at that Orlando IPT event was the most money he's ever pocketed at a pool tournament, bar none. I think it was about $80,000, if memory serves me correct.

IMO, Kevin Trudeau did, in fact, try to do something postive for pool, yet his name is still trashed on pool forums.

Well said!

Still trying to figure out why young and business sense might win over age, wisdom and talent that has been earned on the table.

I always thought that in order to be a good coach or mentor, that your team
would look up to you in admiration, for your past achievements, talent and knowledge of the game.

This, I believe you could easily find in the likes of Nick, Buddy, Mike M, Jim R and yes even Earl. CW? No way. I doubt he could give any of the players a real run for the money. In their day, any of the names I mentioned could have done it. Even now it would be foolish to assume that any of them couldn't keep up to them because perhaps they are past their prime.

Earl could whack any of them hard on any given day.

Even a youngster like Dennis would be a far better choice. Hes animated and a team player. He could keep a team together.

I have yet to hear any proof or reason as to why CW will make a good coach. That is over any of the names mentioned by myself or other posters. I'd love to hear it.

As far as I can see, this is strictly a political game being played out by a couple of members of the APB and Dragon promo.

Its a joke and like other recent moves, will only come around to bite them in the butt eventually.
Probably sooner than later, the way they are going about it.
