I heard Shane practices alot. Just wondering how he spends his time practicing? Like 2 hrs for drills, an hour for breaks etc. Or if he just does whatever.

I guess the real question is why more players aren't talented enough to simply practice the break like he does and learn to break as well.

Everyone knows the break is everything. I guess my hats off to him because I'm sure there are a lot of pros that have tried and failed to master that ten ball break like he has.

he practices his break about 4 hours a day and ball pocketing, safeties, kicking etc. the other 4-6 hours I hear

Back in the day Shane was a monster when it came to practice. I used to go in the basement of Lucky's in Sioux Falls, sit in the dark and just watch him run racks for hours. It was pretty cool because you could just tell you were watching something special in the making. 8-12 hours a day of practicing his break and just running balls wasn't unusual.

These days his travel schedule is simply brutal so he doesn't put in the hours he used to but I would say he probably hits as many if not more balls in practice than most top players. Look around at the next big tournament and you will see a few guys hitting balls between matches or after the days play. Shane is usually one of those guys. He still loves pool and wants to win. He knows to do that he has to work harder than the next guy. Shane gets it.

yeah everyone knows that including the pros so they must just lack the talent or dedication to do the same.

After the novelty wears off its not a lot of fun to swing at a stationary object for hours on end concentrating fully on timing and speed. It reminds me of a little tid bit I picked up somewhere about what makes a pro in any endeavor and that is that pro's practice their weaknesses more than their strengths. That is usually the stuff that is either hard, boring or tedious to do. All about putting in work.

Corey did it with 9 Ball and it looks Shane is the one who did it with 10 Ball. Everyone likes to run balls but its the other things that make a difference in the end.
