Question for the USA Mosconi Cup fans

Darren Appleton and Chris Melling learned their craft on barbox tables and none of the current US team could come near them.
They would need to draft in specialists like Dave Matlock to stand a chance.

Shane will play either of them whatever game they like on a bar box for as much as they can carry. I'll buy their plane tickets and give'em a dime for their time.

If you really knew as much as you think you do you would be dangerous.

They call me Deadly Doug.
:)
You have no idea how much knowledge I have. You have not lived long enough to absorb what I know:):):)

I really really like Appleton and Melling-- but to say, that Shane would have no chance or barbox expirience....-lmao.

It would be close on each table, each size. But such a statement is not just dangerous-it is showing suicidal tendencies if you bet on it^^

Its a made for TV event with criteria for entry that changes every year.

Its really not that big of a deal. To put it in perspective.....if the Mosconi Cup paid zero dollars and the only payment the players received was the chance to represent their country how do you think it would go?

How much would they care?

Why be surprised at backlash when teams are chosen to represent the USA when the USA has no say in how they are chosen?
I personally like how Matchroom chose the teams this year. Top 5 in points go. Perfect way to do it. They dicked up the Captains choice about as bad as possible but its their nickel they can spend it how they want.

American pool fans are just tired of the bullshit IMO and its starting to show.

The Europeans have it the same way. The European Pool Federation have nothing to say when it comes to picking players, it's all up to whatever Matchroom decide. Still, we manage to support our team...

I thought Darren a few years ago offered Shane to come to UK to play barbox 8-ball for $ 80,000, but nothing happened. Could be wrong about this, but pretty sure there are threads about it

I like Shane and regard him as a friend. So I will rephrase my comment. Shane would have a chance but would not start as favourite against either of the two Brits.
.... and I am not practicing to be a Kamikaze pilot
One player I would like to see match up to all three of them is the Aussie bad boy Quinten Hann.
Bustamante declined his challenge to play him for sizeable money on a barbox a couple of years ago.

John Mars had a bag full of money and a passport. Nothing happened.

If I recall there was a lot of back and forth by people who didnt actually have the money talking about a lot things they were assuming. When I got a PM from a money guy in the UK saying "Darren's camp is a little ahead of themselves" I knew it wasn't going to happen.

Shane has an open challenge for a guaranteed $10,000 set in the TAR Studio. 8 Ball on a Diamond Bar Table. Anyone in the world can come play. Just contact me to set it up.

See post above. Quinten would get his nuts shot so far in they would look like nose plugs.

Well.

i was sure that you *rate* my posting correct :) I just know you from *hearing*- and from that i m sure you have usualy no suicidal tendencies if it s about money ^^
I would be curious for any game between Shane vs Appleton or also Melling. I m a great Melling fan anyway- i like his style and his attitude.
Would be interesting how he would stand against Shane. About Appleton i would be sure- he s a moneyplayer for sure. They would start equal, no matter on which table:)

Darren and Shane played the greatest big table 8 Ball set I have ever seen. Both of them have improved. It would be a hell of a match now. Melling I think lacks the gambling seasoning that Appleton has but as shown in this years MC he is a force to be reckoned with.

This is all good for your business amigo. Happy to help. Maybe you could arrange to show the removal of the aforementioned Niagras. The long way!

Someone...please...take him up on this. High level barbox 8 ball, even on a Valley I enjoy watching. Some complain that its too easy for the elite but I find the pattern and cluster management interesting and a refreshing change from rotation every now and then *shrug*

Corey's patterns in this match are GREAT to watch. I wouldn't mind seeing him get in the box with Shane for some 8 ball action.

Justin, do you recall what the rules were when Darren and Shane played on the big table? Winner or alt break?
