Thread moved from the review section. I didn't really know where to put this thread, but it really isn't a review and we don't have a gallery section for just JPs or pocket chalkers.

I like them. My only change MIGHT be a dark cord on the chalker... but hat is a minor thing. I'd buy them.

yes i agree

i have switch to leather for the holder rubber or vinyl yuk
mike whats is your case

They look good.

My 'pick' apart would be the chalker end, never buying one with that type of an end on it. Gotta be tapered to a point for me for brainless pocket insertion. :)

pocket end

the chalkers would a lot easyer to make that way without the little round bulb on the end.
i will make them that way as per customer. but i like the little bulb on the end.

i like the pocket chalker, over leaving the chalk on the table.
who want to put there hand on a gritty table
focus on the shot not looking for the chalk.

i like to chalk between every shot slows me down the pocket chalker is aways in my pocket never a break in focus
im not sure why the post ended up in here.
my stuff is kinda cool but the other side of this to improve you game.
you dont need any of this fancey stuff.
but anything that helps you keep your focus on the table should be a possitive to your game. if you are worried about some one walking off with you kamui chalk , how can you focus on your game?

Nice work.
Are you going to include custom j/p's and a matching pocket chalker with every cue you sell on AZ?

j/ps pocket chalkers

i have one set of matching cues with joint protectors
the added cost makes the cues in a slow mover.

a set of j/ps with a matching pocket chalker is labor intensive
at least 25 hrs to make.

i just make them. there is no prophet.......................................

i would be happy to give a free set of matching protectors and pocket chalkers with every cue i sale.

but i cant afford too make them and give them away. my goal is to just make the best looking chalker possible.
and play the best pool possible... and have fun.

whats in your pocket

If we're offering constructive criticism, I love the JPs, but I like something to give some contrast...maybe a silver or gold ring, or even white? I know this all changes based on what cue it would go on. As far as how it looks...brilliant! Doesn't hurt that you have them nicely posed. it's like porn for wood lovers...yeah, yeah....lots of jokes there.

The cue? if it's up for critique? Looks AMAZING! Sooooo classy. Lemmee see the rest of the points for crynin out loud! Did you build it?

The pocket chalker? First let me say I hate the idea of a square of chalk dangling from my pocket. It sounds like more of a hassle than a convenience. Never understood why you want something like that hanging from your pocket over simply keeping it out of the way. I have never seen anyone use one either. ...having said that, I love it! lol I don't care what the thing is used for, it's gorgeous! Again, for me I think it might look even more regal with some gold or silver rings in it. And you get my vote for having that bulb at the end of it. I don't know if it makes for a better pocket chalker, but it sure makes for a more aesthetically pleasing profile and shape. I wish I had a use for one as I would buy one from you in a heart beat.

A neat idea that I don't see yet, and bet there is a market for it, is some really nice tip tools. Maybe just take a tapper and insert it into a nice piece of wood somehow. I know these would sell. And I know I would buy one. :) ...If you make it they will buy....

it really depends where you shoot and what kind of table.
when i play league it all on a bar box. the owner of the bar is so tired digging chalk out of the inside of the table that he hung the chalk from the ceiling on a pully with counter weights it works really good untill you go to some other place to play pool then you look like some retard because you reaching for nothing.
and if you set chalk on the table the owner get pissed.
so i use a pocket chalker. you cant feel the chalk hanging out of your pocket.

you are right its like wood porn. and we are all here because we enjoy pool. hows this sound for a deal you guys figure out who gets it and i will make a simple pocket chalker and send it to them and who ever gets it can post there likes or dis likes. all i ask if you give it a honest chance. this forum should be about having fun.

the cue no i didnt make the cue. it is a coker cue. http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=243657
silver or gold rings or colored plastic rings. i like wood
i like ivory but im at the point im thinking of building or having one made with no metal....... g10 epoxy pin no weight bolt no plastic
wood and maybe ivory....

Beautiful work as usual Mike.

Mike also makes other things that I can't mention, unless he wants to tell you guys.

And no, they are not Dildos either.

As you can see, Mike is also pretty good with a camera. But, you would have to come over to NPR to see some of it.
