Let's help bushwacker replacie his stolen cue!

So what is happening here? I do not understand...

How can us low-folk be involved?

My home town is still grumbling about the time the Bushwhacker came through and laid down some ass-whoopins.
 
what kind of sneaky is he needing? I have a Sly plain jane with wrap that i would offer up for only 400 if he is interested. It would get him playing and I wouldn't have a problem parting with it at that price.

i just want to help. If there is anything i can do please let me know. I am also in for 50-100 cash if needed.

The attempt is to replace his bluegrass SP with another bluegrass SP. Two parties offered to sell theirs at a discount....that's when the mayhem started.

If Snowmon34 puts his cue back on the market after the mixup, I'd suggest everyone willing to donate money towards his cue since he was the first to offer.
 
Let me get this staight, Dale (who I don't know) had his cue stolen and now you want members to contribute to buy him a $750 cue? Is this correct?

Nope.

Gary Nolan had his cue stolen.

Dale offered to sell his BlueGrass (listed on this site) at a reduced cost, to replace Gary's stolen cue.

KCRack'em came up with the idea for Gary's friends (and other generous AZB members) to chip in a little, and try to buy Dale's cue at that reduced price, and give it to Gary.

Considering that Mr. Nolan is one of the finest members of AZB...and that he's gone to great lengths to contribute in any way possible to the world of pool...I think it's a phenomenal gesture on the part of anyone and everyone involved.

BTW - I'm in.

If Dale turns things back on to collect funds to get this cue out to Gary, I'm down for a donation. Mr. Nolan's always been great with me, and he's very deserving of a little something back.

greg,that is what i did , I just learned to read the post not the header! and i think i destroyed an great attempt to help out a good guy , by a couple nicer guys that offered to come together and help! dont do what i did!! i know your intentions are good

There is at least one for sale here right now. My proposal would be that you pay it forward when you get yours back. Unfortunately there are too many people in your shoes. It wouldn't be hard to pass a cue on to someone else when yours turns up.

I think that is a great idea. It is the nicest thing that anyone has offered me, or anyone else that has had a cue stolen. I support your idea. However I do have two more break cues. This one was very special to me. I could not get another one like it. I feel like it will turn up someday. Have an idea where it went. But can't prove anything. It was made by Richard Harris 15 years ago and still was in new condition until two months ago. Just knowing that some good people are keeping there eyes open for me, helps. Could show up anywhere, but the thief came from the mid-west. Thank you very much. It is good to hear from someone that cares.

Hello, this is Gary Nolan. I started a thread about a cue that was stolen from
me at the DCC. Knowing how members here look out for one another. Was
hoping that someday, someone would come across this cue and let me know.
Even thought that maybe someone put my cue in there case by mistake and
would send it back. So far nothing. WOW, how things got turned around.
Karl, (KCRack'em) came up with this idea about people who have had there
cues stolen. I thought it was a great idea and would support it. Meaning that
he could count on me for help for others that had this happen to them. I am
lucky that I have several cues and could replace the stolen cue. I am appreciative of all the people that are trying to help. It was never my attention to get a free cue, and thus said, I must humbly and politely decline
the offer for the group effort to replace cue.

i like to bet high when i get the nuts
i did
but i did not have the nuts
and the rest is a sad story

later i met gary on here,some 20 years later
he sold me a tascarella cue

i discovered he was a stand up guy

i understand what its like to lose a cue
but gary is not short on money or character
he wasn't asking for charity
he was offering it to others

this whole thing is so confusing that the main thing got confused

some fellas on here offered to do something nice,good,true

i applaud those who offered to help

Iam sorry this got turned around if someone wanted to use my cue and i was the one that screwed up by not reading, karl nicely responded and wish's to keep his cue! If you all donate to the fund and someone else handle the donations.and i hope we get 500-1000 here is what i propose I will give gary a replacment cue ( I want no Money ) But i hope people will still donate. and then all money sent in will go to a check for safe play ( a foundation to help playgrounds for kids) we will then donate it from friends of azbilliards! and if garys cue shows up later , we do the same with that no money to me - Gary gets a new bluegrass! the kids get a donation and if garys cue shows up we sell that and do the same!

so some thief made a bad thing happen-
great people tried to help-
i fudged it up-
ill make it right-
gracious azers donate -
garys cue is replaced-
kids benefit-
and if garys cue shows up kids benefit twice as good!
God works !!


let me know if any one is interested I repeat I want NO money all to go to kid playground
