I'll have to stop there and shoot the sht with the boys I haven't seen in a while. Should be a good time.

Anyone know how many players usually show (on average) for the Fri 8-ball and Sun 9-ball tournies at Smokeys? Are the tournies pretty well run? I'm getting an itch that needs scratching.

I haven't heard numbers lately. I think a decent amount - for a pool tournament.

Looking to stay close to home instead? ;-) Gotta be careful wandering around in the sticks....

Haha, I really like your uncle's tournies and I always try to play in them. Just keeping options open because I never know what day/night of any given week my better half might be agreeable to me going out.

I wish I could play in them more. I hear you on the getting out part.

This is what was posted on Big Dog's Facebook page.

"Hey folks Were looking to be real close to reopening Big Dog Billiards In February Stay tuned for more details as they become available. You're going to like the new location and layout of the place!"

I don't think a billiard table would would get played enough to make it worth their time to put one in. Kind of like the snooker table they tried. But I could be wrong.

It has to be marketed.

If I owned one, I'd get old retired guys in to play in the morning.

In the evenings, I'm not sure.

It is such a great game, but so few know that. It is quick and easy to learn the rules, but it takes a lifetime to master. A newbie can score just once and get hooked. It reminds me of Blackjack...easy rules but complicated strategies.

A snooker table is far better, IMO. Pay golf games would be more popular -- maybe. Either way they take up a lot of room and don't produce enough revenue - JMO, ICBW.

OF course, a fan of snooker, I would love to see it played (and play it).

Sounds like it may be another two weeks till Big Dogs opens. One inspector gave the the OK for the handicap door a second told them it wasn't good enough.

How did the Stix team tournament end up? I ducked out after we lost to the Kansas boys.

Get wrapped up on Saturday night?
