Chinese Documentary about pool players

Great pics Jive, I am glad to see the thread back on track instead of being derailed by nonsense and BS! Thanks to John as well, it's refreshing to hear from folks that are in the area and know firsthand what is going on in other parts of the world!

I drink champagne with a lot of Chinese people, and they're all, to a man, alcoholics. Not sure why. Either way, there's gold in France for Champagne producers.

See how utterly cack-handed and myopic taking things out of context is? Still, we live in an age where offence is actively sought after and cherished.

Millions of people there watch pool on TV, over here we get tens of thousands, its just a numbers thing. They also do not have the big sports we have either so pool is a big deal, pool had its time and fanfare here but its over and never ever will be what it was again. I do not even think a big movie will do the trick at this point either, there is no hope, we are all condemned. :p
 
Thanks for the interesting stuff fellas. I would like to go to China sometime to experience the culture and pool scene there, PI is also on my list too. :)

Absolutely right it's a numbers thing. American pool is dead - long live Chinese pool!

Anyone with aspirations of making money from the game should learn Mandarin and get over there asap.

I'm not disputing that the 3000 Chinese players there are crap, infact I take your word that they suck and must've been sent there as a concentration camp thing.
It's the stereotyping that I'm trying to correct. You seem to believe that pool players in China suck and while I'm not actually standing up for them since I don't know 1.2+++billion of them that well, I know for a fact that there's loads of good players in china more than what you seem to accept. That's all. I'm not calling you a liar or anything, I'm still not against you as a person, I am merely trying to get you to believe that there are many good Chinese good players that you've never met. Therefore don't generalise so easily.

It's not "obvious I want to engage in banter". Sean, I don't mean to be unkind here, but I really don't look to this site for top quality banter...

As for the clip, you MUST be joking! That nerdy, petty annoyance is a shoe best worn by someone else, someone who does seem to enjoy a spot of projection from time to time, so I've noticed. You know the type, those that like diagrams and statistics and equations and all sorts of long-winded guff to prove points nobody's interested in anyway.

I don't believe AT ANY STAGE I said all Chinese players suck.

Frankly, I'm sick of having to defend such nonsense.
