Such thing as a case with rubber feet on the base?

Talisman Cases puts rubber bottoms on their case. Some Predator models have rubber bottoms.
I started putting rubber bottoms on the cases we make about a year or so ago and it's been a great improvement. They are ugly as hell but they work amazingly good. Not only is the case stopped from slipping it also now stands upright perfectly every time.
I have about 10,000 metal feet that I now don't have any need for. When you see this in action against a case with metal or hard plastic feet that slip it's night and day.

Doing these rubber bottoms is very labor intensive - each one takes over 3 hours to make and install. I am sure it could be done easier but I like it to be secure.
I have a Murnak case that has some small approximately 1/4 inch 'feet' around the perimeter and even with those the leather around the bottom has become damaged. If a case has only the rubber bottom attached with the escutcheon nails isn't the leather edge apt to get damaged from leaning and scraping the floor?
We glue the rubber on with shoe glue and then countersink the nails for extra measure. The case generally leans at an angle which keeps the leather from touching the floor. Even if it did touch the floor it's unlikely to damage the edge as there is no movement.
When I used the metal feet the edges at the bottom did get wear.
The reason your Murnak is getting wear is because the feet are plastic and allow the case to slide. You probably don't even notice it anymore how many times the case slides a little. I had the same problem when I owned Instroke and used the plastic feet.
Anyway, that said the edges on any cue case are subject to wear. It's just the nature of cue cases that they are placed bottom down and as such the edges are always hitting something. Jack Justis and others put metal bands around the bottom to protect the edges. I refuse to do that because I personally find it to be a gaudy solution which comes with it's own set of problems. Namely when the metal band becomes scratched and dented then it's as unsightly if not more so than worn edges in my opinion.
So anyway, this seems to be the best solution I have found for the time being without creating molds for the bottom piece. I imagine anyone could craft a DIY solution for just about any case from rubber matting found at the hardware store.
There are commercially available rubber pads used on luggage. I would think most luggage repair places could locate some that would fit any case.
Thanks for the reply John. I have not been very 'gentle' with my Murnak either to be honest. Your are also correct that no matter what some wear and tear is likely even if they were made out of titanium. One thing is for sure the rubber on the base will stop sliding on any floor surface. Is the interior bottom of your cases made from a material that would allow attaching feet to if IE 'some knucklehead' like me wanted to???
Sure, you have 3/4" of rubber and wood to go into. I guarantee you that once you experience our bottom you won't need to do anything.
I remember the first time I saw this bottom on a full custom case John had done....I immediately PM'd him and told what a brilliant idea it was. Drove me nuts the way that most cases slid out. Well, I'm here to tell you that it works exactly as advertised...in fact, everything about a Barton case works as advertised!
Honestly...I believe there is very little that John cannot do in a case request. I think he delights in each and every challenge.
