Sealing a Ferulle

I have a ferulle made out of some type of weave material. It holds the dirt like a magnet. If I was to clean it as good as possible how do you seal it?
Would rubbing some candle wax on and smoothing it real good work?

You could also use sanding sealer or your usual clearcoat.

I've been using the shaft sealer from cc.
Haven't had any cues come back for cleanings since I started this........will have to wait and see

Linen weave ferrules, ie, LBM, Aegis, Ivorine 3 & 4 are easily sealed with CA.
Sand the ferrule down about .002/.003" under-size while spinning in a lathe.
Not you, the shaft.
Give the ferrule a spritz of CA accelerator. Apply the CA on the top-side with a sturdy paper towel
underneath to catch the excess and to smooth-out what's being applied.
Stay in motion moving the CA & p.towel up & down the length of the ferrule.
It should be hard instantly. Sand to size, polish if you like.
Your linen based ferrule is now sealed.

Tell the rookies you don't use wood sanding sealer to seal plastic, KJ. :thumbup:
Water thin epoxy works too if you have the patience.
