Hungarian Nut is Retiring

I have decided to make my last post on AZ as Hungarian Nut, and for good reason too. I really don't like this name anymore and I have come to the realization that it's not taken very seriously. And so I'm trying to clean up my brand and image. Therefore, I am retiring Hungarian Nut as of this thread.

Most of you don't really like the character Hungarian Nut and I don't blame you. The name itself, on the surface, is kind of weird. I wish I would have just used my real name back in the beginning. So it's going to stop now.

You see the name was an inside joke that not many really got or appreciated. i.e., was funny to only a few people. But for most it was kind of weird. Most people think I am a nut case who is Hungarian. No, I am not. I am a nut case that is Italian but that's another story.

The reason for the name Hungarian Nut. There was a pool team who was named the Hungarian Nuts. And they could spot most any other team in the World at that time the Hungarian Nuts. And one of the players can still spot just about anyone in the world today. So the name fit. I highly admired this team and to this day I am friends with most of the original members.

I will be back with a different name.

Once upon a time, back when I was 20something I made a business card that said,

"When it comes to making cases we can spot all other case makers the six out and have the lock down royal Hungarian nuts."

That was funny to me until the day I met Dan Whitten at a tournament in Florida. Well obviously Dan's cases don't take a backseat to anyone's and I felt quite embarassed at that moment. Dan had a good laugh. I retired that card shortly afterward.

Some of us know the term and we respect what it means.
 
I could be wrong but I think this is against az rules. I kinda want to retire Dorabelle too. It was a cute play on words and inside joke but it might come off a bit cocky. I get where you are coming from nut.

You can ask the mods to change your name. :) They have done it numerous times.

He is trying to run against Frost for DP replacement. He knows the fat guy rules to.
 
Can someone explain who the original Hungarian Nuts were?

I live in the backwoods and I'm not familiar with the story.
