Pro1 Evolution • 4 Bears Classic EVENT

??????????????

so joey, can you tell me a little more about this aiming system? sounds like something i need.

sorry,

sorry . i did'nt know. i just seen where joeyA put a thread about an aming system , just asking.... since joeyA put up a thread about cte, i just thought i'd ask... thats all ...i did'nt start this thread. i was just asking about what he mentioned about cte aming.

Careful Sean. Shaking your head and writing it down in an explanation is apparently considered whining here now.

Freddie <~~~ shaking the head still

Was Sean really "whining"?

My bad. I thought Sean was well, just being Sean. (And I like that.)

I wish I could but I am trying to prepare for the 4 Bear Classic. Wish I could help more.

Some people who aim instinctively well and who shoot well won't need any aiming system as they can just "imagine" the cue ball hitting the object ball where it needs to hit it and WALLAH!

My good man, the title of the thread was Pro1, not CTE unfortunately. Still, this is about the 4Bear Classic event and as the link in my previous post indicated, I hope you will join us.

LOL @ this thread being moved to the aiming section.

As Joey would say "Mr. Wilson, you just don't get it!"

Naysayers Police Department

You guys are tough. You all remind me of the nuns that taught me back in 6th grade. I was lucky that I was subscribed to the thread or I might never have seen it again.

Now I want to see the NPD make up some good threads in the Main Forum while I am gone so I can learn some pool things when I get back. So get yourselves together and create some valuable threads that we can learn from and have fun with. I want to see each of the members of the NPD create some good stuff. I'm serious. ;)

Yes, yes, I know this is the main forum but since I have always referred to Pro1 as a complete shooting system, it really doesn't belong in the Aiming forum does it? I mean an aiming system is one thing but a shooting system is an entirely different animal.

I will be headed to North Dakota to take part in the 4bears classic tournament this week, I thought I would give you guys a little thread to discuss while I am gone.

If you get the chance tune into the BigTruck show to watch the LiveStream. I believe it will be A FREE LIVESTREAM at least for part of the event. You can check out the details for the livestream at BigTruck's website.

I'll be playing in the 9 ball and the 8 ball event and doing commentary along with some other pro players and Big Truck of course; so if you get the chance and are so inclined, join in the chat room and pass a good time.

This event has some SERIOUS added money and a slew of TOP PLAYERS. It's going to be a great event and I get to visit Fargo Billiards and Gastropub. Is that not the coolest pool trip? Fargo Billiards and two different pool events at 4 Bears Casino in New Town, North Dakota.

If there are any AZBers that are going to be at Fargo Billiards on Wednesday, I would love to meet you. If you make it to New Town Thursday -Sunday I will be there as well. Hope to see you all there and if not maybe we'll see you in the chat room on the livestream.

Best Regards,

JoeyA

Me thinks this thread belongs under "Tournament Announcements" just to confuse the aiming folks. ;)

Shooting system is accurate but Pro One may also be better called "The Gospel According To Stan "The Man"..... But dare I relate it to religion because the disbelievers (READ: bitter, narrow minded, and/or uninformed) will alert the mods to send this thread to NPR. See what I did there Joey? Now they're not sure where to send this thread..... Yes, I move that good.

I've spent hours talking to Hal over the years and have always been a believer in CTE but failed to use it to its full extent because I had trouble transitioning to the mechanical pivot. Since learning of it umpteen years ago, I've used Hal's CTE as a physical reference and aid but Stan "The Man" and the Pro One pivot have unlocked CTE for me after all of these years.... I was intrigued when I first heard of Stan "The Man's" Pro One system and when I heard Stevie Moore was on board I knew something was really there with Pro One. Then I seen your die hard devotion to "The Gospel According To Stan "The Man" and then JoeyA, the solid player from NOLA, starts cashing checks in fields with pro players. Hmmmm, I said, this might just be the cult that gets me to drink the Kool Aid!!! JoeyA puts the believers in the seats and Stan "The Man" keeps them in the pews. Well, Stan "The Man" hooked me with his preaching in the The Gospel According to Stan "The Man".

I had the pleasure of having a one on one lesson and visit with Stan "The Man" this past weekend at a service here in town. Bar none, Stan "The Man", is by far and away the best instructor I have ever seen (even aside from The Gospel According to Stan "The Man") and even better than that, one of the absolute nicest human beings you will ever meet!!! For those that are non-believers of The Gospel According To Stan "The Man", remember this: Stan "The Man" is the nicest guy you could ever possibly meet whether you have chosen to drink the Kool Aid or not, so keep yourself in check and don't make personal attacks on Stan "The Man" himself.

And PJ...... I got something for you!!! Lets do this: Lets find two league players that play damn near identical that are located between Chicago and Kentucky (home of Stan "The Man"). You teach one The Dribble According to PJ and Stan "The Man" will teach the other The Gospel According to Stan "The Man". Both have one weekend to work with their student. Then give them one month to practice their aiming/shooting system, then play to see which has progressed the furthest. Stan "The Man" is staked for $2,000 to $5,000. If you can't afford that, just stand on your head and bet whatever falls out of your pockets, it might be enough, maybe...... If you don't accept that challenge then refrain from interjecting into threads about The Gospel According to Stan "The Man".

Best POST EVER!!!!

Add my life savings and all the change in my pockets to your side of the bet.

Imagine that - a new member. If I had to kill a small animal every month for the rest of my life to pay homage to Stan the Man, Ron Vitello and Hal Houle, I would in a heart beat.

If you think it's strong now, give it a little more time to sink in and to force you to be more and more perfect in your setup.

Off to Fargo Billiards and Gastropub!

You know, as I was drinking my smoothie health drink this morning and reading the subscribed threads this morning I realized that CTE/Pro1 is far more than a simple aiming system and maybe that's why some people don't learn it in an afternoon's viewing on a video.

The precision that is required in CTE/Pro1 in all of the different areas (and you used the word) "forces" you to be more and more perfect in your setup. It is not easy to do the precision that is required in any of the aiming systems designed by the three guys you mentioned above.

Hal, Ron, Stan, you have my sincerest respect. Long live aiming systems.:D

These proposition bets just kill me. Beginners taking to any method any quicker wouldnt mean much, and a sample size of 2 would really prove nothing. Take at least 10 C players and turn em into A's. That would impress me.

Good Luck in the tournament Joey!
