Im not in the professional wrestling business. We want to give the best players in the world a showcase for their talent and a chance for fans to see great one on one matches. We want the players to be comfortable to be themselves and act how they want within reason. Sunday was not within reason. We will just have to draw the lines a little more clearly and back them up with some teeth.

JCIN, Im sorry bud but these things are going to happen and its what people want. They want emotion. They want drama. Its ok. Gives us pool fans something to talk about. Its not your fault and its to be expected. Its real. Its ok.
Honest it makes it a bit more exciting.
 
Pool players are effed up. If you cut out everyone who isnt proper, you lose most of your players. Harrimans out, Hatch is out, Earl is out, etc etc. I think these things need to be accepted.

this is the problem, people accept pros acting like children, I didn't see this in the world snooker championships this morning, Why cant grown men just act like grown men? It's like any other normal job, you show up act right and get a pay check. If you don't you get fired.

Sharking

Sharking is your opponent saying they can't handle your level of play, that they are scared and their game is slippping away. If they engage in sharking it's because they know they can't win. Dennis would have been quiet as a churchmouse if he had a lead day 3, that is why he got ugly. In that I am not surprised in the least.

IMHO I have to dissagree. I want to see good play, not BS with people trying to get under each others skin.

Thankfully, everything Justin has said in this thread, I whole heartly agree with. I give him all the credit in the world for what he's trying to do for the pool world (players and enthusiasts like me).

Yes, some... pool players are effed up,.. but I think everyone would be surprised how fast they'd learn. Them's some pretty good peanuts they're playing for in a beautiful venue, all provided by Justin.

Both guys contacted me since last night. Both basically said the same thing which is they let the other guy get to them and things got a little out of hand. The fact that both guys were man enough to contact me on their own and discuss the situation is a big positive to me. What happens in the future we will just have to wait and see.

I am thrilled to see you maintain your perspective, and hope that the phone calls prove out that the boys from this weekend have found theirs.

Keep on, keepin' on. I firmly believe what you folks are doing is the one positive thing going for pro pool here in the US.

These guys are receiving the best of the deal; no risk, no loss, expenses covered. It's nice that both of them called to explain their behavior. It sounds like a start.

Hopefully you will become "creative enough or energetic enough" to remedy the problem.

As I said, it's a slippery slope you are walking and determining who started what and fining the person responsible for the crap in the first place won't be an easy job. Most of the time you'll probably wind up issuing fines to both players anyway.
 
Watched all three nights. I think the microphones picked up more sounds etc than we needed. Ear plugs plus sensitive mike makes for things spoken under breath worse than they seem.

1. These two don't care for each other.
2. Mike got the rolls on day 3 and this just steam rolled into lob-sided win
3. I would watch Dennis again
4. Mike's got one of those cocky grins that just sets some people off
5. Dennis would probably prefer to take a few things back

Great format and I would do it all over again and will.

One of the best professional (all around in ever aspect) is Efren!!! Doesnt say a word or complain about that much and guess what?? He still a BEAST!!!! Maybe its because he checks his ego when he has to to be a PROFESSIONAL!!!
