This cue I was going to keep for myself but I also have a blue one posted, I will keep the one that does not sell first because they are both very nice and I will be happy with either of them as will you. Here is the link to the blue one. http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=271154

The cue is very nice as you can see from the pictures. The materials were sent to Joel Dadivas to build these cues including a slab of 50 year old birdseye maple. The cost of the materials for these cues reflect the higher price but it is still a ton of cue for the money. The shafts are fat and ready to have taken down to what diameter you desire. Here are the specs and pictures. NO LONGER FOR SALE!

The butt weighs 15 oz. and shaft 1 weighs 4.1 oz and is 13.6mm and shaft 2 is 3.7 oz and is 13.7mm. 4 points with 4 veneers, mother of pearl inlays, 3/8-10 pin with joint protectors, delrin butt cap and old school brown bumper.

Hello lenny, i love the looks of this cue but i have been burned by philipino makers so many times, i mean every one of their cues i bought (4) warped after few month, so i decided to never buy a philipino cue ever, but you are saying that you SENT joel the wood and that makes a difference, so if you guarantee it for the first 8 month i will buy it. I am in riverside, Ca area.let me know what you think.

I doubt anyone on here would guarantee a cue for 8 months whether it was a $650 cue or a $6500 cue because the buyer could put it through all types of conditions such as leaving it in the car or it being in the cargo of an airplane. I have had mine for over a year and its still perfect. If you really like the cue then check all the JD reviews on here or maybe some people who own them can chime in to tell you there cues are still straight.

Joel takes extra steps to prevent warping such as over sizing the joint and the material/special process in the handle among many other things. Joel uses hard rock maple for his shafts, not saying shafts will not warp because its a long thin piece of wood and tapering, sanding it or whatever can have an affect. I know most Pinoy cue builders have gotten bad wraps but there are a handful now building quality cues using quality materials that they buy from here in the US, mainly the shaft wood and building materials.

I have not seen a cue from Joel on here that has warped but how someone takes care of the cue is very important. Joel stands behind his stuff, when I had some shaft issues he took care of it which was great, most US makers wont even do that. I will also have the cue with me when I am at California Billiard Club for the big tournament there next week so if you happen to be able to make it then you can look at it in person to see the quality of it and hit a few balls too. It is possible that this cue might be off the market very soon as I have payment pending on the other one that is listed and I want to keep one of them, its first come and first serve though. Thanks for your interest.

P.S. Here is the slab of birds eye maple that was used in this cue that I sent Joel and the handle showing the ebony and maple spliced handle.

I'll vouch for Joel's Work. I've owned several of his cues and a new one coming up soon, all with no issues. He's good to deal with and stands behind his work. I'd jump all over this cue if I didn't have one in the works. GLWS!

I've had my JD for a shed load longer than 8 months and she's still as straight as the day I unpacked her.

Yeah, they are great cues, like any cue things can happen but from the numbers it seems they hold up just as good as any.

That green one looks almost identical to a Palmer I bought in 1973 or 4.

Ebayed it a few years ago. It was one of the Palmer's that had the owners name in the butt.

If my JD cue hasn't warped yet, it probably won't.
Any cue that can survive Canada for as long as mine has is OK.

i love this cue

would love to have this cue ....... would love it if you could work a trade for this cue

You never know, right now I am leaning towards keeping it since its the last one of these I have, the others are all gone. I just have a good amount of cues right now, trade offers will be considered.

I appreciate all of you who have chimed in about your experience with Joel's cues, they are built very solid, look great and play excellent! This is the last one I have in this style so get it before I change my mind. ;)

your right buddy! They are great cues!
Keep this cue!!

I've played with a dozen or so JD cues here in AZ. They play great and I've seen no warpage in any of them over the past year. I think I've hit with 2 or 3 of Lenny's and if he says they hit great....they probably hit better. Knowing Lenny personally, I'd have no reserves in vouching for his word or products he sells.

Thanks bud. They are nice cues but the one to be thanked is Joel, he does solid work and is a hell of a nice guy always coming through as he says unlike some of the cue maker crap I have seen on here. :D
