As some of you know I have been away from the cue biz for quite a while.

My Hightower Mid Size should be here next week. On average what is going prices for -New Ferrule, Tip, shaft clean- -New ferrule and tip--new tip.

What does another installers price list have to do with you???

Hey KJ,

With understanding the proper pricing standards he can avoid a price war or bad blood with anyone in his local area. Makes sense.

You and I know that in the final analysis, you have to produce quality cue repair and make everything look perfect every time with your skill or they will not come back for more work.

Therein lies the challenge to all who wish to do this type of work. If they don't come back to you, you will never pay for your new lathe.

When I moved from Jacksonville back to Port Saint Lucie for retirement I took the time to call old friends to make sure I would not step on their toes as I thought it the right thing to do.

This leaves the business side of me and love to dable side. I could do it for the dead material cost but that could lead to me taking food out of someones mouth. Then the biz side of me does not like to leave money on the table.

Now, lets look at it a differant way. When you start up a business you write up a business plan. This includes pricing and what might set you apart from others to command higher prices or make enough to stay in business.

I have seen many fail, especialy during the recession due to the fact they had a build it they will come attitude.

I guess you have never had a guy come in your area with a "I pay .50 cents a tip so if I get $1.00 a tp installed I will double my money" mentality.

I aint that guy. I thank everyone who shared with me.
