TAR 27: Bustamante is Waiting....June 1-3, 2012

Well if it makes you feel any better as uneasy as watching that made you it is not even close to how annoyed the fat guy gets reading posts on the internet by retarded hide behind a screen name guy.

don't get me wrong, it was great that you guys had Archer on and it was very interesting hearing his stories but you and the host kept on interrupting each other and Johnny.

You put on a great show and that's where your talent is at, producing good shows, but as an interviewer, you guys need much improvement.

Easier said than done. It's kind of like hearding drunken cats in a cow pasture. And podcasts are sponteanous by nature. I like them because you never know wtf is going to be said next. I'm hoping some day to see jcin and mark start screaming at each other...:woot:

The spontaneous nature of the podcasts is what makes them so entertaining. It is probably what contributes to an environment where these players are at ease enough to actually say what's on their mind.

You are entitled to your opinion, but calling Justin and Mark "fat guy" and "old guy" doesn't seem to lend much credibility to the reply where you say "don't get me wrong...." I don't think we got you wrong at all.

I don't know who these guys are. It was my first time watching them. I got wind of the show when there was promotion of JA vs SVB.

It was probably in poor taste on my part not to know their names, so I just described them, as old man and fat man.

I don't see anything wrong with that....like the podcast, I am spontaneous as well .

You'be been a member of AZ Billiards since 2007 and you have no idea who Justin or Mark are?

Cool.

Can't please everyone I guess and luckily I'm sure your in the minority. That being said I think we can at least show some respect and refrain from negative comments. Personally, I think Justin and Mark are doing a fabulous job and I don't want them to change how they conduct the interviews.

no.

One time I was introduced to Alex Pagulayan and I thought he was another pool player.

Nick Varner once asked me if I wanted his autograph and I asked why would I want it.

Met Santos way back too and thought he was some dude looking for action but later found out who he was.

Now I know who they are but there are still guys that I have no clue who they are.

Now I know who Justin and Mark are...so I will not call them old man and fat man anymore.

This is pretty strange coming from a guy that just last year posted:

"Good points by PocketPoint.

The leagues are ruining pool because a majority of the league players....I hate to say it....they are not very good. They are social players. I am sorry to offend people by saying this.

Pool halls are in the business of accomodating these players and the old school players or atleast the very good players that gamble, are ignored or not recognized by their greatness.

The average league player wouldn't even know who's who or recognize a legendary house pro. This is ruining the game but atleast leagues bring in money to the pool hall.

I was watching a Finals match in a APA league and it was downright pathetic. The game went to sudden death and both players dogged the 8 ball twice....lol.

I, once, was guilty of wanting to join this league and asked a league player about it....his words...."You are too good to play against us." I still wanted the challenge.

I don't think I am too good for the league but it's almost like an unwritten rule where the 9foot players are not allowed to play in APA. League players see us as another breed. I think we are NFL players and they are more like Arena Football."

Dub asked the question once about who PPoint was.. I think he was on to something.

If you ever come to Portland, if you even know how to hold a cue, I'll play you any game you choose, even. Hell, this APA player could probably give you weight.

I seriously hate people stealing cues, but I'm thinking somebody was trying to do the rest of the world a favor a couple years back when they took yours. Now, if they could only get their hands on your computer, too. You = on ignore for being nothing but a @#$%-starter.

Life is tough and it's not that easy to push a button and make your problems go away. You have to fight through adversity and overcome your fears in life or you would never amount to anything.

I don't blame you for ignoring me because it's easy. Click a button and problem solved.

Now only if they had an ignore button in real life, imagine all the tournaments you can win.

:)

This from the guy who referred to two very valued forum members and industry leaders as "old guy and fat guy"....

You really wanna go there?

When does the match start?

What, between old guy and fat guy? :p Not sure if I want to go there. :p

What a f'ed up read this thread turned out to be -- it made about as much sense as grouping the above two posts together as if they had anything to do with each other. Exhibit A is when Danny H. jumped in with his many-years-old drama that had absolutely nothing to do with the original post in this thread.

Is this the "throw spaghetti against the wall to see what sticks" thread?

I really mean no hard feelings towards Justin and I applaud his efforts in trying to promote our game as i would again like to play Schmidt, I just think he needs to understand that the players are frustrated also. I realize he is passionate about promoting the game, but he has made some bad business decisions also here on this forum in reguards to either arrogence or favortism from his end. River City and Island drive make solid points that pertain to what is called etiquette, if there is a hit in question the spectator/promotr does not offer his opinion unless both players agree. There does need to be more rules in place for these TAR match - ups, but the world does enjoy their petty games. When Justin said he had learned from experience that "when it's you against the world - the world wins" - I know what he is referring to but again he is being overly dramatic. I did not see the match between Mike and the Hatchet man but I would imagine that Mike and Dennis both were a little out of line with each other - but again it's not hard to read who Justin likes and or dislikes and he does not mind sharing his opinion about it either. Not to steal the thread but if anyone has any ideas about possibly another filming crew for a final rematch on Schmidt and myself than I will listen, I would still be willing to work with TAR but the neg. vibes and or favortism from Justin's end would have to change. I would admit that I am a bit sensitive however Justin is a bit overbearing and or arrogent at times for sure. Again I will take the same offer that he offered to John Schmidt only a few yrs back here on this forum, plus there will have to be rules in place so that John cannot argue about the rules as a way of stoping play and or acting a fool.

Bro...that ship sailed a while ago.....and i dont believe its coming back.

Stream-of-consciousness meets stream-of-crappiness.

I just refuse to allow trolls to disparage the good guys on this forum, at least without a couple of retorts. Not that those two need any help on the forums, but this foolishness is beneath them , and besides, they have better things to do today!

I hope part three tonight is as good as the reports say the first two nights were... I'm still thrilled with the podcasts leading up to this match. Next week ought to be even better!

There goes the "Do you know who I am" mentality, that I had to deal with when I met Alex and Nick Varner.

No, I don't know who you are.

Like I said, I don't know who the fat guy was or the old guy. That's just how I describe them since I figure most people on here watches the podcast.

I don't watch it and it was my first time. It's like people calling the John Madden fat or Al Michaels old and nobody seems to care but when it's these two particular guys, suddenly I am out of hand?

The fact of the matter is, regardless what I called them, this isn't the point...the point is they can improve their lack of interviewing skills.

They kept interrupting each other, that we didn't hear what Johnny was saying because the context of the interview went all over the place and he never finished what he was asked.

I hear ya. You nailed it with the stream-of-crappiness thing. I was just shaking my head during the whole read -- dumbfounded at how this thread turned out.

Anyway, it's amazing what experience life brings you. Justin unquestionably has the greater of it -- he can give Mike the orange crush in that regard. Shame he had to defend himself.

And, the "dom faux-pas" character who dropped the old man and fat man ("and I don't know who they are in the pool industry") thing just added the icing onto the cake. That's just pure comedy!

sorry you feel that way and I have to be honest, I don't know who they are.

Are they that important for me to know who they are?

Heck, I am just some guy that plays pool in my local tourney.

I am a huge NFL and NBA fan, can I name every owner of a team or who's who? Nope.

The comedic side to all this is actually the part where people say..."I can't believe you don't know who he is....." That's gold.
