TAR 27: Bustamante is Waiting....June 1-3, 2012

No hard feelings

I really mean no hard feelings towards Justin and I applaud his efforts in trying to promote our game as i would again like to play Schmidt, I just think he needs to understand that the players are frustrated also. I realize he is passionate about promoting the game, but he has made some bad business decisions also here on this forum in reguards to either arrogence or favortism from his end. River City and Island drive make solid points that pertain to what is called etiquette, if there is a hit in question the spectator/promotr does not offer his opinion unless both players agree. There does need to be more rules in place for these TAR match - ups, but the world does enjoy their petty games. When Justin said he had learned from experience that "when it's you against the world - the world wins" - I know what he is referring to but again he is being overly dramatic. I did not see the match between Mike and the Hatchet man but I would imagine that Mike and Dennis both were a little out of line with each other - but again it's not hard to read who Justin likes and or dislikes and he does not mind sharing his opinion about it either. Not to steal the thread but if anyone has any ideas about possibly another filming crew for a final rematch on Schmidt and myself than I will listen, I would still be willing to work with TAR but the neg. vibes and or favortism from Justin's end would have to change. I would admit that I am a bit sensitive however Justin is a bit overbearing and or arrogent at times for sure. Again I will take the same offer that he offered to John Schmidt only a few yrs back here on this forum, plus there will have to be rules in place so that John cannot argue about the rules as a way of stoping play and or acting a fool.

Ok, so here's what this should lead to....the Mother of All TAR Matches!

Danny and Mike vs Schmidt and Dennis, scotch doubles, with Earl as the special guest referee. Everyone Mic'd.

There. Justin's computer can now fly through the window.

:grin-devilish:

Danny,

Totally off subject but a buddy of yours from stl area is going around telling people that Dennis Orcullo is ducking you and that you are dying to play him even 9 or 10 ball for 10 or 20k a set.

I have seen you play and have much respect for your game, but I find it hard to believe Dennis would be scared of playing anyone even at 9 or 10 ball. Either way i would love to see the match.

His initials are NB and is a good player, not just some railbird.

If you can't figure it out, PM me

I have to chime in with something here....when watching the podcasts, it is extremely hard to watch because the old guy and the fat guy keeps interrupting one another when they were speaking with Johnny.

Old guy is good because he has a good personality and has interesting things to say till fat guy interrupts him.

Then fat guy asks a question out of nowhere then old guy does the same thing and interrupts fat guy.

There's a reason why it's usually one interviewer and guest. They need to script what they are going to ask and let the guest finish talking, nobody wants to hear people talking over another when Johnny is telling a story that they asked.

Very uneasy watching these interviews.

Mike

I remember watching Mike Play every week at a weekly tournament At country club Billiards in Chelmsford mass a few years ago While his game was on the road to where it is now. I thought he was a Duchbag then and I still think he is now. In my mind he has always acted like an ASS. I agree with Justin It does not matter how good Mike's game is when you act like an ASS HOLE why would anyone want to work with you. Busty and all the rest of the filipino players are all class act's. Mike does not belong in the same room with these guys.

Brings back a memory

I remember a wrestler whose family was the best, they never lost any matches. Nobody liked them, not because of their talent, but because of their attitude. The younger brother was losing a match in the state AAU tournament and started yelling at the ref. The kid was maybe 11 or 12 years old. His Dad walked out on to the mat and backhanded him, dropped him like a bad habit. Today the Dad would go to jail. At that time, late 1970's, the thousands watching stood up and clapped. Yes a standing ovation.

Justin should have done the same thing, dropped the mouthy, immature kid in front of everyone, an hopefully it would have been on the stream and went viral. I would pay for that stream.

apology

Some of us have met you in person. You have never come off as a bad guy to me in person, but you are coming off as a douche on here. Don't take that as disrespectful. Many people here have just pointed out how it looks.

Me personally I am all for players being fired up. I like a little trash talk. Didn't seem to hinder Michael Jordan from becoming the most recognizable sports figure of all time. Don't apologize for that either, but you can't do it to fans. This sport has little money and little following. The previous poster was correct that if pool ever blew up and people search for you, this is the type thing they will see.

If this were another sport and say Tiger or Phil needed a putter before a tournament most fans would bust a gut trying to offer them one. A guy gave a player a break cue, big deal. I know Justin enough from here and around to know he would have given you one as well. Now the fact there was no penalty for Bustamante using it previously is why pool goes no where. No one cares about the rules as long as they don't get caught doing it. I don't think the break cue is a big deal, but rules are rules.

Again, be cocky and self-important. It's part of your personality and your game. This is not an issue, but until pool is putting millions in your pocket childish bickering is no good. This stands for everyone and Justin also knows he did some things wrong and admitted as such. Just say, "I screwed up, I won't do that again" and move on.

I do believe he did go on here and apologize for the TAR match, now we know how much the apology meant. I would say strike two, but I thing he already struck out with most people. Too bad, he does have a lot of pool talent. I do not want him representing the USA on the Mosconi Cup, that is for sure.

Why is he a kid

Why do we give him an excuse, he is just a kid? He is not a kid, he is an adult. Why can't we just call a spade a spade. He can't grow up, he has already grown up.

Too bad this is not what this thread was suppose to be about. Keep up the great work JCIN, thanks for giving us the streams of the great professional players. These players should be on their knees thanking you. I would love to be guaranteed $1000 for showing up for three days, with hotel, and flight paid for.

Mr Harriman,
I would put you in my top 5 for ANY GAME. 14.1, 1pk,8B,9B,10B etc and possibly in my Top 3 overall. The problem is that they can't seem to get your meds right. What the F does this thread have to do with your drama. Mike comes here and shows his ass. That should have been example enough...

Efren and SVB are not just loved because they can make a ball. There is a lesson in this. Take a knee. Everyone including yourself will feel better about it.

Further to my previous post. Just listen to Archer and Busty. "Thank you Justin/TAR/CSI/Sponsors/The Dalia-Lama for this oppertunity". They get it. Shane probably would but it's not his way. He's not a wordy guy.

Podcast

This was excellent. Thanks to all involved taking the time to put it on. Johnny and Shane sure seem like a genuinely nice guys.

Well if it makes you feel any better as uneasy as watching that made you it is not even close to how annoyed the fat guy gets reading posts on the internet by retarded hide behind a screen name guy.
