Not starting a fued, but out sourcing to china should not be on anyones list of things to do, and can't see anyone I know doing it...
To many good machinist here in the US, and I for one am willing to pay the extra to keep them busy...:grin:

On the other hand, if you're looking for inferior materials, and parts that don't even come close to spec, you may want to give them a shot

i believe the cheap materials and crappy tolerances your reffering to are the results of the consumers budget, not the asians ability. My guess is that if your budget permits, then they'll build it out of platinum and within tolerance of a micron.
