Hal,

You didn't know? Tulipwood is a work of the devil!!!

Haven't seen you around much lately, boss. Happy to know you're still kicking around the boards. Best of luck on the hunt. I had nothing of real value to add to your thread...other than saying 'hi.'

Hope you're doing well, chief.

Scruggs Tulipwood and Martinez Tulipwood

I have these two, both are really strong playing cues. They both have nice leather wraps and two shafts. I can get you all of the details if you have in interest in either of them.

The Scruggs is a late 80's or very early 90's and doesn't appear to have seen much play. It has four veneers and some dashed rings in the buttsleeve. It also has a black delrin buttcap which you don't see as often.

I am not sure the age of the Martinez, but the Veneers are extremely bright and look very nice against the Tulipwood. Really good playing cue.

Let me know and I can send you all of the spec's.

Thanks

I prefer plain janes simply because I love the look of the wood. However I will tolerate some nice ring work. :D

I'm interested in the Hsu but only if it's a plain jane.

Hey cueblues, what's the one without points? Is that the Hunter? I don't understand what you mean by teardrops. It looks plain jane to me.

I'd LOVE a Tulipwood SW pacifier. Or a Bluegrass in tulipwood. That would be awesome.

I want tulipwood forearm and butt linen wraps or leather. simple prefferably white butt cap. Nothing fancy. I simply love the look of tulipwood. As far as ringwork goes, just silver rings or whatever. Nothing too overbearing.

I have a 6 point Tuplipwood Gilbert I may consider selling. Ivory joint, 2 shafts w/ ivory ferrules, ivory hoppe ring, honey brown lizard wrap, and ring work at all positions.

If I sell it I'd take $900 shipped. Let me know if you want pics.

Thanks,
Matt
