Just wanted to share a pic of some "mycarta" that a friend made for me... Roughly 1.5 square, and still needs to be cleaned up a bit. Had him do some black, blue and white, and then some black and red. Everything is dry and rough in the pic so no finish on them at all.

Something a little different.....:rolleyes:

Hey thanks Darcy......he complained when I told him it had to 1.5 thick, but he came thru.... I am trying to get him to use a pipe as a mold (ID of 1.5) for his new stuff, so we'll see what happens.

I was just reading up about how to make this stuff a couple nights ago.

One could get very creative and come up with some pretty unique looking material. I dig the ones you come up with.

Doc yeah theres a few makers I know that spend a lot of time coming up with different patterns and color combos. (Not that theres anything wrong with the traditional brown....hahaha)

Its messy but not that hard to do... A Press helps versus the C clamps. Cliff Fendley does a pretty good tutorial on making some denim mycarta using West Systems 105 epoxy resin and 206 slow hardener.....

That's really cool looking stuff You have there. I've seen how to make some from denim and other material types, but not anything that looks like that. The red/black almost looks like flames. Very cool.
