I've heard nothing but good things about Mr. Lee. And I think he would be the first to tell you to practice what he teaches you so I don't see any conflict with HAMB. :grin-square:

scott was extremely helpful for me
he seemed to be able tot tune into deficiencies and present solutions in a way that clicked for me
highly recommended
he can play and he can teach
both extremely well

what does h.a.m.b. stand for??

How does he teach you to sight the ball? His stance is rather tall...

Scott teaches his students to "sight the ball" through their own eyes, not his. Most important Scott brings Reality & Perception together. Scott treats all students as individuales with common goals.

Rather tall for whom???????

I like these threads because we (SPF Family) feel the same way about Scott. He is one of our best and we are proud of it.

Great thread

I may be reading a lot into this little statement; and I mean all this in a much more light hearted way than it may appear. This line of thought comes up every once in a while; prospective students sometimes think that I am going to “teach them how to play pool the way I do” no it doesn’t work that way. In fact I have been saying this for about a decade now, I say “I am not “really” going to teach you how to play pool, I am going to teach you how to teach yourself how to get better at pool for the rest of your life”; I think Scott Lee says something similar.

There is so much misinformation out there in the pool world that for the most part when I get a hold of someone they are far worse than being uninformed they have been misinformed; one of the things that they have been misinformed about is that they need a teacher that plays pool “they way they do” or “the way they want to”. When one takes a lesson the best thing to do is to clear the mind of all presumptions and I mean all presumptions!

Really good teachers DO NOT try to make students carbon copies of themselves and if they do they aren’t very good teachers. And I do know that you were “just asking” as I said I mean all this in a much more light hearted way than it may appear.

I can see improvement already!!! I was stuck in a rut.
Scott told me not to put things in until they felt comfortable, but what has been seen cannot be unseen. I'm doing some of it now. It has helped my game. I still have lots of work to do and now drills have a meaning to me.
b.t.w. Now I know why they are called "Mother Drills"!
They're a Mother @##*&# to do properly. :grin-square:

Frank...I had a blast working with you on Saturday. We sure "got after it" didn't we! LOL You were a great student, and I look forward to hearing about your progress. Stay in in touch...I will too!

It sure was fun! I have been watching the dvd's!
Thanks Scott. I'm slowly getting more comfortable. :)
Who says old dogs can't learn new tricks?

Best

He is the best. I had a lesson with him a while ago, best thing I ever did. Scott and Randy are the best instructors out there.

I agree. Scott and Randy are not only great instructors but they are also great mentors. I am privileged to have both as my friends.

Srini...Randy called me after your lesson. He was very impressed with you as a student. We both know you're going to be a very good poolplayer. Keep up the good work, and I hope to see you again the next time I'm down in S. FL.

Rufus...One thing we SPF/PBIA instructors know is this...the process WORKS, for the great majority of students who learn it and apply if properly! Atlanta is lucky to you have you in their area...and I am honored to be your friend!

I'd like to take this opportunity to welcome a new instructor into the SPF family. I just upgraded John "Cue Chief" Harlach, from Cleveland, OH, to Advanced Level. He's a great teacher, and becomes a valuable addition to our group.

Another 2 thumbs up for Scott. I've had two lessons with another set for early fall. I have only good things to say about Scott in all aspects of his teaching. Thanks for all your help Scott, you've helped my game tremendously!
