Questions for Mike Dechaine

So with all this 9 ball/10 ball playing, when do you find time to come up with trick shots and practice them? Or are you just getting a cram session with the team a week or two before the World Cup? I'm really looking forward to seeing what you guys come up with. Good luck!

Tiffany Nelson from Maine had a huge break. ....

you have Cajones to admit that u learned the break from a Girl and that tells me that you are a very SECURE person. Ignore what others say in that area. You are Da Man Alive!

I have known Tiff since she was 13-14 years old. yes, her brake had loads of power.

Thanks Mike! Great thread. Congrats on your win.

At what age did you take on pool seriously? How much time where you spending on practicing time back then?

Probably around age 14. I probably put an average of 5 hours a day in until I was 18.

In connection with this, did you find you had a natural ability right from the start, or was it something you just stuck with and worked at because you liked it? I'm guessing there was naturaltalent involved just because you've accomplished an awful lot at your age.;)

I guess I had natural ability but it took time to develop. There was another kid out of my pool hall that played better than me and I feel like that competition really helped me push myself.

Congrats on the win at Turning Stone! This thread has really helped enlighten me about you as a player and as a person.

What is the most difficult shot for you to focus on?

long shots where I have to barely touch the object ball for a safe. I watch Shane hits these balls so well and I have a hard time with them. I also need to improve on my safety and kicking game.

I actually have a practice session with them tomorrow. I am really looking forward to competing in the World Cup of Trick Shots. We have a great team (Bruce Barthelette, Andy Segal, Jamie Grey and myself) and defiantly have some amazing shots.

Just curious Mike, but how you get on the US Team? Was there a qualifier or something. One of the reasons I ask, is that you're the first modern era tournament pro to even want to be involved with this level of trick shooting (most of them look down their nose at trick shot artists). I know there are a lot of talented trick shot artists, including Tim Chin (1hit1der). No matter...I wish you and the team good luck at the World Championships!

Breaking

Not sure if this has been ask yet but my question is how you execute your 9 ball break.I like the way I play but im not giving myself the opportunity to win because of the break.(Im dogging the break).
If i check the rack I increase my odds a little but I just dont like checking the rack every time.(maybe I should).
When your breaking do you go above center or below .Also do you try to stay at a certain speed or use any type of english.

Thanks Anthony

Question

Have you paid all of your debts that you owe people? Question 1. Question 2, why do you think it is ok to manipulate the rack? Why can't you act like a man and rack the balls properly? I have seen you play ALL over Mike, and don't try and give me SOME BS story that you don't manipulate the rack, I have seen you rack a million times, I have seen you play TONS of sets, probably more than many people here on AZ.

You realize that by you NOT being a stand up player is the main reason you will be forgotten when you quit pool your legacy will be that of a cheater, liar, and downright just not a good guy. Frankly, if I were in your position I would try and do something to change how people look at me. On the surface you think people like you, but I have seen people sit there have conversations with you, then turn around walk up to me and call you every name in the book. Do you think ANYONE wanted you on the Mosconi Cup? No. Flat out no, none of them wanted you there. You’re cocky, and dumb, because you fail to see what others see in you. I am just man enough to say it, because you have shown me PERSONALLY that you’re a douchbag. Pay your debts, change who you are, fix your personality and maybe at the end of the day people might WANT to like you.

And yes you still owe me money; $200, plus 2 (almost 3) years of interest.

Wait let me tell you another story. When I first meet you, I had my 16 year old sister with me, who you were all over. I meet you and thought you were a decent guy, we talked for a while, and everything was cool, made a few sweat bets, etc... Then you talked to me about needing a sponsor, and I went to AH house after that tournament and mentioned it to him and he said, no ****in way! The kid is cocky and a douche bag. True story. Then 3 years ago, and today, same thing. Douche bag.

One last comment. Much like Cuetec learned will Earl, Predator will learn with you. That an I much doubt you have a real deal with Predator outside of getting free stuff and an occasional entry fee. None the less, your not getting endorsement deals like SVB. I am sure they will regret letting you prance around with their logo. Your history and crap attitude will make them hate you, much like many of us do.

no specific player, but some players use my information about the rack to benefit themselves. They feel like if they can get the crowd on there side than I will look bad. Again, if my racks where so bad, why didn't one ref come over and look at them? They use it to get in my head.

Shane won't gamble with me?? I haven't heard that before. Shane an I may have some things going on here in the near future. We will save that for later if it all falls through or not.

You think a TS ref, some of the old guys know how to read a rack? No. Don't try and fool people with that excuse... That is just not bieng honest, for once I want to see you just admit that your a cheater and you manipulate the rack to cheat and give yourself an advantage. After all I have heard you say that if players are dumb enough not to look at the rack or learn how to rack then it isn't your fault. Just admit your a cheat.

i knew this thread would become a shit storm.

Why make personal beef's public? not my biz, just ****s up things for everyone, thats my beef

Not because of Mike but because thats what seems to happen to 90%+ of the threads on AZB now, sad.

It seems like many people in this forum were getting a benefit out of this thread. Your actions are likely to negatively affect this benefit for the AZB community.

Why so selfish? It ain't all about you.

One of the reasons I got picked to represent the u.s. team was because I finished really high in one tournament I played in. They also thought that my stroke And ball pocketing ability would be beneficial for the team. I am looking forward to this and hope to play well out there.

Thanks
