Any idea what cue this is?

Please check it out...and let me know:

The cue is very well construct with really good quality...originally thought it was an adam/helm...but quality of shafts and overall feel is really good that suggest it was custom made.

I can see why you thought Adam. It does look a lot like an Adam. Because it is.


In fact I am sure it is. I have a pic of one, and our resident Adam expert Jayman has one in his collection. He has posted pics of it.

Funny it feels high quality eh? They absolutely were high quality.


EDIT:

See the fifth cue from the left. Jayman can probably tell you the exact model. It's not in my catalogs...but I have very few catalog pics.

Yeah, I figure it was an Adam but the joint on it is different from the one Adam used. Also, the bumper and finished over the linen wrap is different as well. Maybe someone updated the joint and pin.

I couldn't see the pin. IPad down for the moment and on phone. Too small to see. The collars are what made me say Joss. I have actually owned a Joss that looked almost identical to it. But with the pic of the pin and the flyer, I concur. Adams.
 
The shaft inserts look right. Adam did use several different pins, and that looks similar to one of mine I think.

As for the wrap, yeah, they finished a lot of them. I don't know if the wrap might have been replaced in a refinish though...and it has no logo so it may have been refinished.

Sure does look like the AM-5.

In the seventies and to a point the early eighties, Adam only branded about 50% of there cues with a logo. so on it's own, not having a it doesn't mean a whole lot.

That's why I said it may have been refinished. Maybe, maybe not. It seems they were a bit inconsistent with the logos. As you say, by itself it won't mean much...but if it had a logo it would be less likely refinished, though logos can be reproduced.

The OP seems to feel the wrap is "off" for some reason, like it might have been replaced. It looks OK to me in the pics, but he has it in his hands, so he might be seeing something I don't.
