This is one of Kent's real beauties, made for Tang several years ago. Tang used this cue exclusively for a few years, once finishing in the top five of the U.S. Open. He has now retired from pro pool and I am selling it for him. The price is $750 firm and that's a real bargain! It should be double that.

A gorgeous ambroysa burl and black ebony butt with two nice shafts. The butt is 15.9 oz and the shafts are 3.4 and 3.6 oz., 12.3 mm and 12.5 mm. The cue is in near new condition and plays great! I don't think this one will last long on here. jayhelfert@yahoo.com SOLD!

I really thought this would go fast on here. It's one of the best deals you will find, easily worth far more. KD Cues are coveted out west.

Jay, what a total steal of a deal this is !!!! I always enjoyed watching Tang play, what a competitor. Met him in Chattanooga back in the late '90s. Believe at the time he was playing with a bird's eye maple Tad. Really cool dude....wish him the best. Sean

Thanks Sean, I'll tell him. Had a couple of inquiries but no sale as yet. I think Kent made a couple of extra shafts for this cue that Tang never picked up. Probably available fairly inexpensively from Kent.

Hey Jay,

What kind of pin does the cue have? What is the diameter of the butt section (near the handle)?

Interested in trades?

Ray, it's the poly-urethane pin (G-10) that Kent used on some of his cues, similar to Cogniscenti and Carmeli. The butt diameter at the handle is 1 1/8". I'm not interested in any trades at this time. Thanks anyway.

I talked to Kent and he told me that the pin is 3/8-10 piloted. He also said it was 1.27" diameter at the back end of the cue.

Thanks Jay. I also play with thinner shafts. Beautiful cue.

BTW, you coming out to the one pocket event in October?

Final price on this cue - $700 + $25 for shipping
If it doesn't sell at this price I will hold onto it. Thnx

Hey Jay, That's a steal on an ebony and high grade black ash burl cue from Kent. GLWS.

Hey Jay,

Heading over to Kent's tomrrow. I can inquire about the add'l shafts if you wish.

Let me know,

Russ.......

I'm thinking to buy that cue but both shafts are too small for my preference . Hope Kent made extra shaft for Tang. I might get it if his shaft isn't too expensive.

Thanks Russ, Kent may already have a shaft(s) in stock that will fit that cue. The 12.5mm shaft I have is a good one and has a nice taper to it. The second shaft is more like 12.3mm and also has a nice taper, definitely playable.

Wow, I was looking through my collection of shafts and found a super nice shaft that fits perfectly on this cue. I'm not sure who made it (maybe Bob Hunter), but I know it came off a high end cue that had two other shafts when I sold it. It's 13mm and dead straight, a real clean piece of wood, that feels perfect when attached to the Davis butt. If I include this shaft, the price will be the full $750 plus shipping. This is easily a $150 shaft!

I found a super nice shaft that fits perfectly on this cue! I think it was made by Bob Hunter but I'm not certain. All I know is that it's a high end shaft made by a good cue maker (pretty easy to see the quality). If I include this shaft in the deal the price is $750 plus shipping.
