Us Open Updates....

Alex plays the soft break, doesn't make the corner ball like Shane has been making, but makes the 1 and unfortunately draws the cueball one cushion into the upper corner pocket. Shane takes BIH and runs out to go up 8-2.

I know, someone really needs to get into Kenny's ear and let him know that the mouth noises (i.e. clicking and sucking noises when dry mucous membranes stick together and release) are very noticeable.

Way to put me off lunch

Shane breaks and makes the corner ball again, but his cueball gets bumped into the side pocket. Alex takes BIH with an open table and runs out to make it 8-3. Alex has to find a way to make the corner ball like Shane or he has no chance.

Alex breaks and makes the 8, has a long tough shot on the 1 with the the cueball on the top cushion. Alex plays a two-way shot, misses the 1 but leaves Shane hooked. Shane jumps and hits the 1 but misses the bank, leaves Alex and long, thin cut on the 1. Alex misses the 1, but leaves Shane hooked behind the 3. Shane jumps and banks the one long rail into the corner pocket. Shane misses the 2 in the corner. Alex banks the 2 cross-side and makes a very nice run out to pull within 8-4.

Alex makes the 8 in the corner on the break, plays a 1-3 billiard to get in line, and makes another clutch runout to get within 8-5.

Dennis and Alex in the finals. I can see the writing on the wall.

Betting than having one of those Boxing Brits in the finals, if it can't be an American.

Alex breaks with more power, the corner ball goes straight in, but he draws his cueball right into the side pocket. Shane makes the 1 and a 3-9 combo with the 9 very near the corner pocket. Shane up 9-5.

Tough task to have to beat Dennis twice in the same tournament.

Dennis is too strong. IMHO, it will be SVB vs Dennis in the finals. Among the remaining 3 pinoys, I believe it is Dennis who will give SVB the toughest fight in this hands.

Shane breaks and makes the corner ball again, followed by another nice runout to reach the hill, 10-5.

I agree, but if Shane's making the corner ball and his opponent is not there's no way to beat him.

Shane breaks, makes the 3 in the corner, has a nice shot on the 1. Shane makes the 1, gets on the 2, and negotiates a tricky position from the 2 to the 4. Shane runs out to win 11-5 for the hotseat. Tremendous performance.

What bothered me about the commentary was. Jim wych or however you spell that corner ball shouldnt go on the break and it hasnt been going all week. Well when I watched last night that ball was going, and when Alex was breaking that same ball went every time?!
