AVOID Gerard Pepin (PocketsCalgary), got worst treatment ever

Low life's like you are not worth the time.... end of story
REALLY???!!!!! And that is after you received your $1200? Oh yeah, i see how this is the end of story. Can not imagine why would someone accuse you of being....rude and arrogant?

A little reality check for you $57 for one cue is not cheap shipping!
I have no control over how the postal services over there conduct
their business nor do I have control over how your countries customs
Handles packages... do I feel shame? Most definitely! Its a shame I
had to end up dealing with someone like you... because of people like you it
will make it tougher for anyone else to get as good of a deal as I gave
you!
Really? Well, i got news for you. $57 is normal shipping charge for international packages. And YES, you DO have control over package in transit, and yes, you can track package and yes, you can check how customs work. It is very easy to blame it on "Their postal service". Who cares, it is overseas anyway right?
I shipped a cue to China and after full insurance, delivery conformation and all that total cost was around $65-70. And my buyer received cue in 6 days.
Why? Because i used a good carrier(not cheap one), a paid extra to have package tracked all the time and i used full insurance to protect buyer and myself. Was it worth it? ABSOLUTELY! I'd rather pay $70 than having to refund buyer and deal with cheap delivery company trying to get my $$$ back or file insurance claim for damaged item.
The way i see it, once you got paid, the ball is on your side. You must make sure you pack it well, you must ship as agreed - on time and using a good dependable carrier. And most important - IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO DELIVER CUE IN GOOD CONDITION AND ON TIME.
Now, did you do that? I am sorry but, going by what i read here it looks like you just used cheapest possible way to ship, most likely trying to save some $$$. Hopping that it will get there...eventually. And if not, oh well, he is overseas so i have no control over it right?
POOR BUSINESS PRACTICE!

P.S. And you actually had a nerve to give him a negative iTrader????!!!!

This first comment of yours shows how you do business...

Low life's like you are not worth the time.... end of story

This Second comment of yours shows that everything is about you and just a headache to deal with.

You were fully inform about the shipping from the very beginning, literally minutes after I shipped it
which you conveniently forgot about several times and I had to repeat to you over and
over again among every other aspect of the transaction which you conveniently forgot
about and I had to repeat to you over and over again... nothing but a headache dealing
with this guy... took a huge loss on the cue to hook you up with a nice cue that is
unavailable locally to people over there as a good gesture and this is the thanks people
get from guys like you... be sure to show everyone all the pm's between us especially
the ones of mine that started with, for the 2nd time.... for the 3rd time....

This guy is nothing but a headache to deal with...for the 2nd time¿

This comment shows how you won't take responsibility for YOUR DEAL and point the finger again at the other guy.

Congrats....you made my list and probably a lot of others'.

hmm...

Nice thread.
I mean....another "nice thread". LOL
Keep them coming!!!

PS: Petros sorry for the mess....I know the feeling...

calling a buyer a "lowlife", after being paid, is not PC

pockets, instead of wasting time and energy trying to dig your hole to china i'd focus on what can be done to please the buyer and rebuild your image

I wasn't going to pick a side on this deal, especially without knowing all the details, and so far I don't think anyone did anything wrong.
It's human nature to want to save money on shipping, but since you are obviously using AZ Billiards as a personal free online store just to sell your crap and make a buck, you should try going the extra mile for your customers.
For Peter's sake I hope the cue shows up, and it will eventually.

Thanks again guys for keeping common sense into this forum.
Everybody knows me, I would be glad to cover any additional cost needed, I did'n have to since I had an agreement, I paid good money and it was enough for a decent shipping.
I usually pay via western union, that's not the main issue though.
I kept my part of the deal, he did not, that simple.
Although until now it has cost me a totally unfair negative itrader (hopefully this will be fixed after my report to az) I always find it necessary to inform honest members about these things when they happen.
A community is something that deserves respect and az deserves that, after all it is something that works for us, we should always respect it.
Thanks again,
Petros

Canada post tracking just confirms package arrived today in "foreign country", 35 days after shipping.
This confirms there was no issue of delaying here, the problem is just the cheap slow shipping PC used in order to pull out a few louzy dollars out of a good deal.
Still waiting for moderators reply about cleaning up my itrader, I have done nothing wrong, I kept my part of the deal as I always do, he did not.
Thanks again to all respected honest members for their support in this issue.
Petros

Thank you very much for the post and the warning on PocketsCalgary.

Thanks to his response; I would not consider doing ANY business with him regardless of how good of a deal I am getting.

35 days is crazy and to make it worse he acts like you are to blame.

I have shipped cues all over the world and have never seen that type of delivery delay.

I hope the extra $25 he made on the deal was worth his reputation....

One good thing that has come from all this is I know never to do business with pocketcalgary

I agree, ship that fool some red rep is what I say. I cannot believe this guys nerve when the agreement was for it to be shipped a certain way and he went the cheap route to save $30 or so.

Its funny. I had a cue that was stuck in customs for about 30 days. I waited and then called USPS. They told me that any query would need to be started by the person who sent the package. I spoke to him and he agreed to call them if it didn't show within a couple days. It still didn't show and we talked again. The whole time he was curtious to me and even offered to send me a refund at one point. Eventually the package cleared customs and I got my cue.

The moral of the story is the seller worked with me the whole time and was always nice and wanted to make things right. Obviously the seller in this thread doesn't understand that. Cusomter service goes a long ways.

I will even plug the seller. It was Djay Customs. Great guy to do business with.

Easy on the public service buddy!

For everyone's info there is nothing wrong with Canada post. Its as reliable as any other service. I'd venture to say for international shipping its more economical as well.

Case in point, I shipped a Mezz exceed about a year ago upon request of a azer to asia, Thailand. I think. He wanted it shipped expedited. Two days delivery, i used FedEx the cue still took a week to get there and got stuck once it got to Thailand. Shipping ran me over 120 bucks. Welcome to the world of international shipping.

Unreal

It seems that pockets has lost alot more than he was trying to save. What kind of seller slams a customer who hasn't recieved said item after paying in full promptly.
My list of sellers whom i will never consider doing business with has grown by one today.
Alll in all i hope the seller gets what he paid for is said condition...... Hey mods lets get this guys itrader back up to speed (100%)

My question comes back to Pocket's comment about how he doesn't control the shipping. What if the cue NEVER arrived? Would that be, in his mind, Petros' fault? I have seen a tiny fraction of Pocket's attitude in some of his replies in posts, but his handling of this sale, and his subsequent handling (MIShandling) of this tread, have shown me yet another AZ seller that I will never deal with. Petros, I really hope that you not only receive your cue soon, but that it is in the condition you had hoped for. Good luck!!

Chris

The remedy here is for PocketsCalgary to publicly offer a refund for the cue if it does not arrive by a certain date. When and if the cue arrives soon, and Petros decides to keep the cue, at the very least PC should compensate Petros via Paypal the difference in cheap shipping costs due to the lengthy shipping time. If not satisfied send it back refund the money and be done with it. That's the only way out of this mess PC. Step up and do the right thing... it might already be too late. We've seen many AZ members banished from doing business on this site for making foolish mistakes very similar to this one.
A man's/women's rep and Itrader rating on AZ is all they've got.
