AVOID Gerard Pepin (PocketsCalgary), got worst treatment ever

Nothing got stuck in customs here, it took 35 days for the package to reach country of destination.
Nothing special with the package as well that could cause customs problems at country of origin.
It's clear what happened here.

With overseas stuff, we've had a few packages go afoul (rare but it can happen). One was 'misplaced' and didn't leave the US, one even went to the wrong country, and one was a a few weeks late for no apparent reason. These were all EMS priority or express. Sometimes things just happen......but it's how you address these things and take care of your customer that really matters in the end.
 
what did Petros do to deserve a negative iTrader?

Yup, as a seller you have to have enough empathy to realize that the buyer is sweating a problem shipment and try and be as helpful as you can. The deal where this seller called the buyer names is way out of bounds.

Like you said, stuff happens, we are all cool when things go well, its how we act when there is a problem that counts.

This seller acted like a dick when there was a problem, and is acting like a wuss now that he is being called out over it.

I once bought a boat from a guy in Guam and it took me 3 whole months to get it because he really did SHIP it!
 
A few months back I performed an escrow for a friend that lives in Taiwan. He bought the item had it shipped to me I inspected repackaged and shipped it off to him. It some how ended up in manila [not really sure how] but it was in NJ, than manila, came back to usa and went to taiwan in 18 days. At no point did I call buyer names, he sent me payment before receiving the item and it took longer than it was suppose to but we spoke every day and ended with a green itrader for parties involved. Im 19 he is around the same age, is there a reason why a business man feels the need for name calling? PC care to explain? I am not asking anything about the deal money saving or anything just the matter of calling your customer names and blaming him, I believe the terms of "The customer is always right." may be wrong sometimes but in no way is offending him an okay thing to do.

Couldn't have worded it any better. I'm from Canada as well and shipping, even using EMS Express, mistakes can happen and packages can be delayed - sometimes quite a while. It's all in how you handle the situation and cooperate with the seller to come to a positive solution.

Finally got the cue today, after 5 weeks...
Fine cue, it arrived well.
On the package there was no 57$ written anywhere like he claimed, only a 42,54$ "Surface S.A.L."...
This confirms his "mistake"...
I'm now waiting for Mr. Wilson to balance my itrader, hope he finds the time soon.
