Mosconi Cup 2012 Day (4) Discussion

I can't believe someone hollered out " Watch the 8 ball Brandon". They need to clear out the losers and let these guys have some fun!

Geaux Shuff!!!!!!!

After Melling made that great shot, I didn't really expect Niels to exhort the crowd but I guess that is how they play the game. Maybe that's the new way and we need to learn how to play it that way too. :embarrassed2:

Yes, I like his pace: quick but not rushing the shots.

Is it just me or do Melling and Dechaine look like the Bobsy Twins or Cabbage Patch dolls?

Dechaine is the Eddie Munster cabbage patch doll.

D'oh! :p

Two kick scratches leading to two inevitable losses pretty much evens out the early 9b rolls. Should be 3-2 Melling.

Was Shuff's safety on the two-ball the best safety he had available? (I'm not an experienced player but it seemed like he left the full two-ball out there asking to be put in prison.

The players should study this match to learn how Efren kicks. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xc14fGCe2k8&feature=g-hist

I think if Brandon had done a soft kick then he would have been able to lay the 2 on the side rail. This is the type of shot that Efren excels at. The match above shows it off many times over.

Efren's basic rule on kicks: when there are other balls near the object ball kick soft, when there aren't kick hard.
