Mosconi Cup 2012 Day (4) Discussion

For those of us who play for money any time your opponent gets a bad roll or makes a mistake it's a good roll for you. The shot that Appleton scratched on was not a mistake on his part, he didn't have any option but to shoot it the way he did and hope that he doesn't scratch IMO. We can argue about it later when it's on youtube. :-)

If I were CJ, I would now get Brandon on the side by himself and tell him this is his opportunity and he can makethis next win his destiny. He can silence the detractors once and for all. He can demonstrate the skill that all of his supporters know he has. That time has come. Play well Brandon!

After day 1 i told Brandon to go to the right side for the break and don't overcut it.
He did and it is working !

Um I'd leave him alone and let him focus. I wouldn't add to the pressure with any talk about destiny and critics.

are you kidding me Chris Melling!@!!!@!

What a nice position shot to get on the 3. I couldn't figure out what he could possibly do. He played a kiss off the upper half an obstructing 4 ball to help him spin off the rail uptable. That one was worth the price of admission.

Melling is a NUTCASE! Who on earth would use the five ball like that to play position from there? Wow, mad respect for the guy, he is a beast.

Well.. I've played for money once or twice. When someone flat out loses the cueball on a table he should be out on, thats called a mistake, not luck or a roll.

Yeah, that was one of the best shots of the entire event. Melling is a pretty special player.

What Pool Needs

This is exactly what pool needs. Hopefully the ESPN execs are taking note. Well played Melling.
