I discovered this board a few weeks ago and have been reading through many topics and have gotten alot of helpful information so i thought id introduce myself. Im 28 and started playing around 2008, well thats when i bought my first cue, i wasnt any good then and im not any good now. I purchased a basic pechauer which i really like and still use today. i quit playing in 2010 because our league folded up and life was too busy so the cue got hung up. i relocated about 60 miles from where i lived and the bar i go to said they had openings for their team so i joined. good times, but its just a bar league. no bih and no sanction and you shoot partners which is fun because theres more people to mingle with between games. In my reading ive learned alot about cue care and started really taking care of my cue, reading up on technique and equipment and im getting better. I cant practice too much beacuse i have add and running drills doesnt last too long before i move onto the next thing, but i still manage to swing out and shoot for about an hour a day sometimes more. well heres some pictures of my cue, and if anyone could tell me what year it is id appreciate it, i think 2007?

Welcome to AZ. I can't help you with your cue, but I'm the same way about drills: it lasts about 3 minutes and then I rack up a game.

yeah ill sett up and run a few L drills or something and then maybe a little 9 ball to work on position and then its rack em and grap a pint

I'm actually in Granger now, but I'm in Elkhart regularly. If your friends play, I probably know them.
 
They do not, were a bunch of hardcore softball players, dedicating 7-10 hrs a week to pool is just a hobby. im in north judson, which is a bummer cause they just opened a pool hall less than a mile from my old house

I have friends in N. Judson too... so where's the new pool room?
 
Back by my old house in griffith. it used to be a furniture warehouse so i guess they just opened. my buddy whos a pretty good shooter told me about it. theres like 8 people in judson so i probably have run into them before. our pool league has only 9 teams and 4 are from knox one from bass lake and 4 from judson
 
Welcome to the board. I've been an on and off poster here since 2005. I think you'll enjoy it. Also there are a fair amount of fellow Hoosiers that post here. Not sure how many are from the region though.
