The Encyclopedia of Pool Hustlers

I never knew his real name. His pool nickname (and the only name I knew him by) was the name of the state he came from. I won't say unless you ask me too. It was weird seeing him after that, with the long scar across his neck. He acted like it was no big deal. I got the chills every time I looked at him. Next couple of times I saw Sizemore I kept my distance. I had no idea he was that dangerous.

Last time I saw Sizemore was in Dayton, he and Youngblood did a little business for 400 with me in the middle. Nothing I could do about it as I was busy playing in the tournament. I had just made a serious 6K score, so it was small change to me at the time. Youngblood actually tried to cheat me playing Tonk but I beat him anyway. I won a hundred that he still owes me to this day!

All of the above are covered in the book. Nah, dont give up his nickname. I have his real name and will publish it in the book. Unbelievable
character.

I'm not correcting you freddie, but i want to clarify a few things.. First thing is that Daddy Warbucks was 6ft.7 inches (almost 6'8") when he was 71 years old... Next, as far as the sheriff in Hot Springs goes..Yes, they had a gun fight at Hubert's house, Hubert won the gun fight and then a couple of years after that, shot somebody in the foyer of his house. Rather than trying to apprehend Hubert, the new sheriff of Hot Springs thought it wiser to advise and assist Hubert in draping the man's body through the window, to make it look like he was trying to break in !!! (LOL). As you know, he always sponsored Nick Varner the last few years at Johnston City and he walked down beside me when they announced the raid, he dropped his 3 guns on the floor, and we kicked them under the table. Hubert was a bad hombre and a super partner ! In fact, when i won big money gambling, I always gave Hubert a big chunk of it to hold for me, because it was safer with him than Fort Knox ! I liked Hubert very much, but better than that, he liked me ! He LOVED Nick Varner !!

Now that the big action scene has, to a large extent, vanished, this book may prove to be the "Gone With the Wind" of the action scene. That, in and of itself, makes this an important book. It should be a great read.

Best of luck with it, Freddie.

Post your email address. I will number the first 100 copies.

Beard

The numbers will be assigned to whomever pays first and the order of payment.

The problem is I cant take any money yet because I havent determined a price for the book. It keeps getting larger and larger with photos and pages, 400+ for sure. I keep remembering players that I had originally forgot to put in. I'm sure it will be hardcover, but not sure yet about the size.

Good to hear from you brother Jim. The guy he shot in his house was Keith Kallio, a tush-hog himself. Hubert beat the rap easily. Hubert called Nick Varner, the "Little Go-rilla." He wasnt that tall either, he just looked that big.

Freddie, I'd love to buy a copy of your new book. Please add me to your email list so I can purchase one when it's available. Loved the GosPool of Bank Pool and Banking with the Beard, by the way. Both helped my game tremendously!
Thanks very much,

Larry, I was just about to do a promo and do a special pre-publication event. The first prepaid orders to come in will get numbered copies from 1 to 100 and autographed of course. The publishing date is from one to two months away, more likely two. The order I collect the money will determine the number from 1 to 100. Someone from Onepocket.org has already locked up #1. I havent asked for anything from anyone yet so there is no # 2 at the moment. The tentative price is going to probably be $49.95. That is not locked in because the book is going to cost pretty good to publish hard cover, 350-400 glossy pages, etc. But to raise some interest and some money the special pre-pub price is going to be $49.95 including shipping. As the payments come in I will assign the numbers in that order and notify the buyers what their number is.

All orders will receive a bonus DVD, the OnePocket Hall of Fame Dinner for 2011 or the BCA Hall of Fame Dinner for 2011. Your choice.

Payments can be made to my PayPal acct under my email address, bankingwiththebeard@comcast.net or my home address is

Done and really looking forward to it! Sounds like a great book Freddy. Hope there's something in it about Albuquerque and Jimmy Moore or Louie Royball, who was once set up with Fatty as a "local fish" and took him for a wad. My deceased brother in law, Louie Coriell, used to run with them when he wasn't playing cards. But if not, cool, sounds great!

Calling out for any pics of Brooklyn Butch, Brooklyn Pancho or Al Miller for use in my book.
