Can someone that built one please direct me to the specific Youtube link you used that was successful? There are a bunch of tutorials with slight differences, so I wanted to get the recommendation from someone that can confirm it's holding up well

Thanks in advance!

I built my "bucket" polisher so long ago that I cannot remember the link except that it was a youtube video. They were all pretty similar, and very loud. I had to pack the bucket with foam to bring the noise down. I've been polishing my balls for about 5 years and it seems to be working out fine so far (that's billiard balls)

On my balls? I pour on a littlle turtle wax.
Is it just me or can you guys feel this thread beginning to deteriorate in to something really raunchy?
Could be...

Do other guys bring their balls over so you can do them, or do you just do your own?

Do you like them better slippery or a little dirty?

Do you clean them every day? Before you play with them, or after?

that's all, offa the top of my head.

I have the home made bucket polisher. I use Meguiars Plastx for 5 min and then turtle wax for a few minutes.... the balls look like new.

Technically, you are not supposed to use wax to polish your balls. Not only is it against the rules, the wax wears down and the play of the balls changes over time. I prefer to use Brillianize, which is a cleaner and polisher but does not add a wax film.

I also built a ball polisher using a car buffer and a couple of 5 gallon buckets. I forget which video I used but they are all pretty much self explanatory. Mine is loud, but I could care less... I use it once every few weeks for maybe 8 minutes? I just wait for everyone else to be out of the house and just scare the crap out of my cats and the dog. :)

Novus 1 is the best. Specially made for plastics. No residue of any kind. I've been using it exclusively for four years now. I'll never switch.

As to the bucket polisher, it works great. My o
Ryobi orbital buffer is now in its third year and going strong. I made a ball separated out of carpet and coat hangers, which worked well for about a year then fell apart. I am now going to fashion a separator similar to the blood worth polisher and line the holes with carpet. That should do the trick and last much longer.

Cheers and happy holidays...
