Anythings possible in the movies..........
Sure it's possible, Fast Eddie did it with Vincent and they were only on the road for a few months!
On the road like we are can be pretty challenging. How many times did you see Vincent wash his clothes or try to play after getting woke up all night because of noisy people in the motel.
Zack and myself are the real deal. We do this because we enjoy it and if nothing happens from this other than fun that's OK.
I enjoy sharing the things that happen. For one thing if anyone ever wants to go on the road for awhile they know some of the downfalls plus ways to save money and time.
Many of the things that I am teaching Zach are the same reasons that most road players end up on a very short road and broke. It usually has nothing to do with how well you play but how you manage everything.
And of course if you don't play at a higher level it's going to be real rough because that limits who you can play.
We're going to lay back for a few days and enjoy our families. Plus, Zack and myself are having a little contest to see how much we can pump up our bankroll over the holidays.
Around the 7th or 8th of January it's up, up, and away again.
I'm pretty sure that the lessons that Zach has learned in the last few months will stick with him.
On the way back to Wisconsin we were going to stop at a tourny and see what was going on. Zach says to me, I'm pretty tired, Do you think it's a good idea? That was music to my ears.
He's understanding that he is not superman. His tired game is about 2 balls less than his fresh game.
He's learning but at 23 the message has to be immediate and strong. it doesn't get any stronger than on the road right after it happens and then you get confronted about it. It's hard to deny what has just happened being so fresh in the mind.
Zach probably blew about $5000 in the last month from mistakes. Not that he lost that much but he cost us that much by not taking down the action that was available at the time.
Being on the road is like being a professional baseball player. You have to play everyday and you need to stay at your most tip top shape. You have a day off here and there but if you don't perform you can lose.
I wonder if baseball would be played a little bit different if the player got paid each day by what they did that day.
Team wins you get paid. Lose you get nothing.
With the setback we had here and the lessons to learn the time line for building a champion will be a little behind schedule. But i will tell you this.
In a month or so it they better play awful good or they better keep their cue in the case when I bring Zach around.
Merry Christmas everyone and I hope everyones Christmas is a winner.
Thanks for all the support for Zach and myself.
