Love 9 ball and 1P. Looking for action in the area. Someone please let me know where the good players/ tourneys are. I have heard there is a tourney every night within a 30 mile radius. Orlando was a dud for me. Went to three places found know action. Thanks and have a Happy New Year! :thumbup:

Come to City Billiards in St.Pete ask for Van or J.B. They are always looking to gamble. Or there's a bar box tournament across the street at Frank's bar every friday and saturday night. A lot of high level players show up there. Casey Merrel will play anyone for money.
Also there's a lot of big money players go to Flamingo's bar in St.Pete. They got a nice 9 footer there too, Efren stopped by there when he first came to the states.
You will definitely find some action there.

I am surprised you did not find any action in Orlando, Mike Delawder will play most guys, and there is a little 10-20 action at Clicks north sometime. Sorry we missed you. Tom

Ask for Dale the owner, he can set you up a game, i'm usually there every Friday and Saturday night, depending on my health, just had a battle with some cancer my name is Mike, come down and check the place out, tons of pool history there, like mentioned Efren played there as well as Strickland, Hall, Kennedy and even Babe Ruth.
It's a smoking bar, so no food, but we have Dairy inn across the street and a Sushi joint next door called Hooks, also Tai food just up the street at Siam Garden, the owner"Boone" hangs out with us and bets on sports games, nice bunch of folks.

Yep, I agree with everything that CaptainHook said. A real nice bunch of folks. I played on the same team with Dale and Boone for a little bit when I started shooting pool a couple of years ago. I am pretty sure I will recognize CaptainHook if I see him. I used to go there quite often, now I don't get a chance to get out there because got no transportation at the moment.

Sorry, I have been sick all weekend, depending on if they have enough players Sunday night, not sure what time, I stay home on Sunday's.
