New APA Scoring system

So how long have you been stuck in the house now?

I should be playing during every spare minute that I have. But my dedication is not perfect. It's difficult. But I am tired of seeing myself improve slowly, and tired of watching others improve slowly. And from now on, if a week goes by and I see no significant improvement in myself or another player, it will make me sick. If you are not ready to seek rapid improvement, you might as well quit now.

I was pretty well thinking you might as well quit now. I'm sure that sentiment is shared by many others here.

Why would others share your sentiment?

Because you are an ass here on the forum, asking idiotic questions like "can I use a calculator at the table" while at the same time spouting off your opinion like you are an expert on all aspects of pool. Its sometimes hard to believe you are as clueless as you sound from your posts.

Its sad really, have you ever been diagnosed with a mental illness or perhaps aspergers?

Each time I read something from you, I say to myself, "That's just about the dumbest thing I've read on here." Then you go and out-do yourself. I suppose one could consider that "significant improvement."

Have you ever been good at anything? Improving may be pretty rapid when you go from knowing nothing to knowing next to nothing.

I think you're just joking.

The calculator dilemma was in response to a SID kick which is a well known 3-cushion system. And a long-rail SID can be difficult to judge if you are looking to hit a particular side of the ball, or even trying to be precise enough to make it. And the calculation is at the borderline of where a calculator would be beneficial. So in truth, perhaps the idiocy is more present in the person who has not asked this question!

No, the idiocy is all in you as anyone with the slightest bit of sense understands that an estimation on the numbers is every bit as good as a calculator because you'll be estimating the position on the rail when you come up with 3.37 diamonds with the calculator anyhow. But I can see how you would as you have in other threads attempt to justify your own flaws by projecting it on others, its a pretty common defensive pose that very frequently goes along with schizophrenia, so part of why I asked if you've been diagnosed with a mental illness.

You're picking apart everything I have to say, and calling me crazy. Let me know what I've done to deserve such an ambitious attack.

Everything you say comes off as ridiculously obtuse, and in the way as I stated a schizophrenic will attempt to project their own failings onto others as an excuse for their statements/actions. If you said less over the top clueless things it wouldn't happen. I don't really feel like going over your craziness ad nauseum, but another perfect example is you stating that Strickland said on video that the APA has ruined pool. You haven't actually come up with a link to that, or anything showing he said that yet you argued with another member here who actually physically was with Strickland about what he said to that member. The member has pictures with him for crying out loud, but because what he said doesn't match with how you are trying to use Strickland to justify your crazy beliefs you refuse to believe the other member. Its much easier for the rest of the world to believe that member than believe your memory of what you heard (possibly out of context) in a video that you can't find again.

Virtually everything I have seen you post is similar (and others in this thread have already stated the same), again why I wonder if you've ever been diagnosed with a mental illness or aspergers. At least it would make it more tolerable if you were but as it is currently you come off as a total ass with no excuse behind it. I know someone who has some brain damage from a car accident, and has a few peculiarities because of it but tolerate those pieces and ignore them as its not something he control, he has no idea he's asked you the same question 5 times in the last 10 minutes or that he almost mowed you down moving around the table for his next shot since he's blind in one eye. So we put up with it with him as its not his fault and there isn't anything he can do about it. Without you having a mental illness / disease of some sort, you can do something about how you come across here.

I have an equal amount of supporters for every issue I have raised. The piles of green rep I have received prove it.

Wow! This is one of the dumbest quotes I've ever seen. Your thoughts are fine for highly skilled players. Most of those you won't find playing in the handicapped leagues out there. The GIGANTIC majority of normal folks just want to go out and play a few games...having fun! Nothing more...nothing less. Geez...some of the statements you make sure make you look like an idiot. I know cardiac kid says you're okay (and I do respect him...as a player and friend)...but you sure say things that make many others here think differently (as is obvious from their posts)! If things were actually implimented the way you would like, there would be nobody playing pool...anywhere!

The goal in pool should not be to have fun, it should be to mercilessly destroy your opponent. To never even give him an opportunity to shoot. To keep him in the electric chair the entire night. I don't know where this idea of fun started, or who started it, but it needs to stop.

if you think online reputation points mean anything, again I feel sorry for you.

The more telling part is that they don't actual post in support of you. The reason being that your points aren't supportable with logic.

Easy, I'll tell you that I dont believe its Aspergers, for what its worth. I won't bother to derail by going into the details, but the symptoms aren't terribly similar, in my experience. (I'm no medical expert, I just come to it through personal, daily experience.)

Of course, such conditions are like the proverbial box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get, so I could very well be mistaken.

I'm still going with troll-itis syndrome. Methinks he is sitting back enjoying all the $hit he stirs up. It's the only thing that fits. The thing is, Lyn spoke on his behalf, so I'm on the fence.

He must think that pool tables were created out of necessity. Back in the day, when most prey was too dangerous to sneak up on, complicated methods of striking were the norm. The problem was, a high degree of accuracy was needed. Since there were also no calculators, they all had to use only their knowledge. Throwing a rock to hit another rock which would fall on a dinosaur.. too much work to repeat. Eventually, they came up with pool. Very serious stuff and fun could result in starvation.

I prefer to do things that aren't fun for hours on end after I get done working, because I hate life and what it stands for.

Our area league is going to this scoring system. Have any of the other area's heard about this?

true the symptoms are quite different, the only reason I think it may be aspergers is that its possible he just doesn't realize how out of touch he sounds, or how his mannerisms come off as he's that disjointed from the rest of reality. I don't think he's a troll, which is the only reason I'm trying to point out to him specific details of statements he's made that are ridiculous and/or show some amount of mental divergence.
