Anybody having issues with apa member updates?

I just joined APA this season and I really do not like the fact it takes so long to get my profile updated with the games I've played and my win loss games played is wrong.

Has anybody else experienced this with their local APA?

Is BCA any better?
 
It really depends on your LO. As far as I know they need to manually enter in the scores and that can take some time. You figure if you play on Monday the scoresheet would be in the mail on Tuesday. They get them on Wed at the earliest. Now they have Thursday and Friday to get them in unless they want to work on the weekend.

Are you checking your stats thru the National website? Does your league area have a local website? If so, you may want to set up an account and check your stats through it. Your LO may (or may not :frown:) keep the stats updated better than the National headquarters.

Not trying to sound condescending, but be sure you are reading the stats correctly as it may be a bit tricky to a newcomer. The stats columns read: MP (matches played), and MW (matches won). If you have played 3 matches and won 2 of them, if you don't look closely enough it will look like they are saying you have a 3-2 record.

Please consider that the LO and staff still enter this information into the system manually and there are 2 score sheets for each match between teams. If you play in multiple leagues on different nights your win loss percentage may not reflect your most recent night of play.
 
Well its only showing the first week of play for 9-ball. Tonight would be the 3rd week. It's showing my teams info updated to playing more than games but not mine. Also not showing anything from 8-ball though last Wednesday was the first week...

That is something new to me. The only thing I can think of is that they are doing it because you have yet to get your 10 matches in (qualifying you for the playoffs). I don't know how this could have anything to do with it, but I cannot figure anything else out.

How did you fare in the first 2 weeks? Do you think you are rated to high, too low, or just about right?

I lost my first 9-ball match but smoked my second match in a low inning percentage so I'm anticipating the update.
In 8-ball one of our guys didn't show so I played 2 matches and ended up 1-1.
The site is still just showing the first 9-ball match.
 
Phone call

I would simply call the LO and find out the reason for the delay. Could be as simply as having an employee out sick, problems with currier / mail, payment issues with your team or opposing team. Give them a call and listen to their explanation. If it doesn't appease you call the other league operators (BCA, TAP, NAPA) and check how fast they get their stats in. You can then make your choice.

FTR, I have seen instances where the website wasn't up-to-date, but upon getting to the poolhall that night, the scoresheets were up-to-date.

You're definitely not going down and you may or may not go up.

A few points.... It could be because:

The LO (or whomever they designate) simply didnt do it....(not good)....

They could be away on vacation, or someone out sick....

They could have done it, and believed they sent the update in to Nationals, but it didn't take for whatever reason (this happened here last week-I called and asked, she told me she was sure she had sent it, but re-sent it while I was on the phone, it was updated in less than 15 minutes......)

There are probably a dozen other possible scenarios. Or more.

Hopefully, for you, this isn't a recurring situation. Realize that your LO likely has many other divisions that they are keeping track of, and occasionally "stuff happens."Perhaps that's all this is. Again, I hope so, for your sake. I, too, enjoy checking out the stats each week.

BTW, LO's are not supposed to publish stats on their own web sites any more, since the National site rolled out. They can maintain them for announcements, and calendars of events, and results of tourneys, and everything else you might want to do on a website, but all stats have to be seen on the National site.
